About Me

I am a multilingual language teacher with a BA in Asian Studies (specialisation in Chinese language), MA in International Studies and several years of experience teaching students of different ages and cultural backgrounds.

Languages have always been more than a subject to me, as they are a bridge between cultures. Learning languages has always been a passion, so why not share this interest with others? During my academic journey, I developed strong linguistic and intercultural skills, and I later completed an internship at a school of Italian for foreigners, where I worked directly with international students, including Chinese learners.

Over the years, I have taught children, teenagers, and adults, both individually and in small groups. This experience has taught me how to adapt my teaching style to each learner’s needs, personality, and goals.

In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
