About Me

I am an experienced and passionate teacher of Italian language and culture, with a Doctorate in Italian Literature and Philosophy from La Sapienza University of Rome. My teaching approach combines linguistic accuracy with cultural immersion, ensuring that students not only learn the language but also gain a deep understanding of Italian traditions, history, and everyday life. If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
