About Me

My mother tongue is Slovak, but I am also fluent in Czech and English (C1), and I am currently studying French. Since childhood, German has been my favourite language due to its logical structure, clear rules, rich vocabulary, and melodious pronunciation. I enjoy creating logically structured grammar explanations, designing exercises on different topics for my students, and making flashcards with vocabulary in context. I derive pleasure from discussing various topics with my students, explaining grammar, reviewing their essays and it gives me enormous satisfaction to see my students make progress, knowing that I contributed to their learning. I believe that living with this sense of helping others makes life bigger and more meaningful.

Education

• I hold a Goethe-Zertifikat C1, achieving the highest score among all candidates who took the exam with me (see attachment).
• I completed my high school graduation exam (Abitur) in German at C1 level, scoring better than 98% of all test takers in the same year (see attachment).
• I attended a German–Slovak bilingual grammar school for five years and was consistently the top student in German, never receiving a grade lower than an A.
• At the age of 15, I participated in a C1-level German course in Vienna (see attachment).
• I write scientific articles in German (see attachment).
• I currently study Molecular Biotechnology in Austria in German, which has further deepened my understanding of academic and technical language. As shown in the attachments, I have expertise in subject-specific vocabulary related to biology, chemistry, economics, and law. Living in Austria and using German daily has also helped me develop an understanding of subtle nuances, colloquial expressions, and a natural command of the language.

I have always loved teaching German, and guiding students through the learning process is what excites me most. Over the time, I have taught students of different levels — from complete beginners to advanced learners — helping them achieve goals like passing Goethe or Telc exams, improving school grades, or gaining confidence in real-life communication.

You can book a complete course with regular sessions or individual lessons to overcome a specific problem, such as pronunciation or a particular point in grammar.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.

Learning is easy, but unlearning bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible.

My offer is aimed at both young people and adults who want to learn German or improve their knowledge without wasting time on nonsensical school methods.
