German classes for A1-C2 levels from a native speaker
From 58.25 C$ /h
Modern Language student from Switzerland provides German classes for all levels. That includes speaking, learning the language from scratch or exam preparation (Up to C2).
I have my own teaching material (books, audios, exercises etc) but in the case of school support, students can bring their own material. We will focus on all 4 areas of language learning (oral and written comprehension, speaking and writing). Besides that, we will also focus on different grammar topics, in order to be able to build more complex sentences.
Speaking:
We will talk about different topics, especially topics about daily life and the ones you would find in an official exam. I give importance to pronunciation and syntax, and give correction feedback at the end. I put emphasis on learning new vocabulary and building more complex sentences. Each lesson will consist of speaking, since it's one of the most important parts of a language learning experience. I try to go with the 80/20 rule (80% interaction, 20% grammar), so that the student can start conversing relatively fast.
Oral and reading comprehension:
We will work with different exercises and audios taken from books. The readings will be adjusted to the student's level, and can vary from very easy to difficult. We will look at the unknown vocabulary and the structure of the more complex sentences.
Writing:
I will give detailed explanations as of how to write and structure a text. I expect the student to write a little text for each lesson, they can either choose a topic or I will give them a little exercise they can do. In class we will then look at the mistakes and the improvements that can be done.
Students can always contact me outside classes, or send me work they would like me to correct apart from the classes. I want them to revise what we did in class, especially vocabulary, since we will continuously continue with already learned words and build on that.

About Me
Hello! My name is Alexandra and I am currently a Modern Languages student in my fourth year in Madrid. I have grown up with German and moved to Switzerland when I was 8, so I have a native speaker level. I am teaching German since over two years, mostly to adults and university students, and have experience with teaching conversational skills, grammar, reading and listening. I have helped people pass official exams, but also simply improved their German skills. At the moment I am completing a TEFL course, which is broadening my teaching skills.
I am happy to help you in any area, especially if you want to prepare for an official exam, such as Goethe. I expect students to prepare outside classes too, but I also understand that everyone has things to deal with, so I am trying to make the most out of the time we have in class, in order for the student to advance as fast as possible.
