Native Speaker Teaches German Lessons for all Levels
From 107.38 C$ /h
I am a berlin-born German native speaker and I have been teaching German on and off for over a decade. I love sharing my passion for languages and for their subtle differences.
I teach individual and group classes for all levels and ages. And I put great emphasis on meeting the student where they are at: I do not believe in cookie-cutter methods; instead I think it is very important for a teacher to know how each individual student learns best!

About Me
I am a professional stage director (recent credits include Juilliard’s Rinaldo in Concert and Syracuse Opera’s Don Giovanni); as an assistant and revival director, I have worked at Deutsche Oper Berlin, Opernhaus Zurich, Santa Fe Opera, Washington National Opera and more. Having worked with so many different singers and directors has allowed me to develop my coaching, teaching, and character work skills - for actors and (in particular) for singers. I was also the Directing Fellow at the Juilliard School for two consecutive years, where I learned from Stephen Wadsworth in the postgraduate program. I recently taught an acting course at Montclair University, and have been teaching privately for years. As a director, I have also worked with a variety of young artists - for instance at the Glimmerglass Festival and the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Program. Being a French and Austrian native, I also specialize in French and German diction.
