Hello! Bonjour! Guten Tag!
My name is Zara and I am a Final Year student (Year Abroad) studying for my BA in Modern Languages (French, German and Italian) at a Russell Group university. I have just come back from a year abroad studying in Italy and teaching English in Vienna (Austria). I am very passionate about learning languages and enjoy looking for ways to help younger students grasp them and make the process stress free and more enjoyable.
I feel I can offer you excellent tuition at a reasonable price, given I am in my third year of University and have therefore recently left school, I am still fully aware of the content of GCSEs and A Levels, especially the new specifications. I scored particularly well in my French IGCSE where I scored full marks in my written paper, and near full marks in my oral exam. For German, I scored similar yet it was in my AS oral where I managed to achieve full marks. Therefore, I feel I have a good understanding of various mark schemes and can pass on tips and advice to seriously boost grades.
However, I want to make language learning and grade-boosting a fun process and promote active learning and hopefully that will be achieved through my friendly and bubbly personality.
I have experience of tutoring different age groups: from 8 year old French students, GCSE german students, First Year University students and older, adult students wanting to learn German.
I will be able to provide my own worksheets and grammar books, can help formulate oral answers and help with oral anxiety and nerves. Above all though, I believe language learning should be fun.
Since I am a university student my hours are much more flexible which means I can work around those on study leave who may require some last minute tips, but am available on weekends, too.
Please feel free to get in touch if you want help, last minute tips to boost your grade, or just friendly, one-off conversations in the target language on any topic to help boost your confidence.
All the best,
Zara
