About Me

I have been teaching English as a foreign language for almost 20 years in several countries and to all levels and ages. I specialize in teaching teens and adults, and I use my expertise and deep knowledge of the English language in my pedagogical methods in the classroom or online lessons. Lessons are tailored to suit individual students, and I always do a needs analysis for every student. I try to keep lessons interesting and above all, communicative and effective so that students can feel an improvement in their English ability from day one. I would describe myself as a teacher who uses the communicative method. This means I ask a lot of questions, listen and correct. I expect students to do 80-90% of the talking in class, because that is the best way to produce results. Materials are crucial for this, so the ones I choose must be of interest to the individual student, and of course aimed at their level and needs. I aim for students to gain linguistic, cultural and practical knowledge in their lessons with me, and for them to gain the tools they need to move forward with their English with confidence.
