Many English learners are eager to improve their vocabulary. This is good and should be encouraged. Unfortunately though, this eagerness is usually driven by a common misconception that having a wide vocabulary translates to fluency. However, this isn't the case as an understanding of sentence structure, plays a greater part in being able to communicate effectively in English.

The ability to structure your sentences correctly entails knowing the different parts of speech and their placement within each sentence.

Every sentence in English includes words that fall into some or all of the different parts of speech and having a thorough grasp of this aspect of the language and how they're ordered (sentence structure), helps confer fluency.

That said, there are other aspects of the English language that you will need to learn in order to form meaningful sentences. These are Auxiliary and Modal verbs.

An understanding of Auxiliary and Modal verbs are a must as they help indicate information and modality.

The focus of this class will be on Auxiliary and Modal verbs. In this lesson, I will be teaching about Auxiliary verbs and the sort of information they help provide in great detail. I will also teach about Modal verbs and the key difference between Modal and Auxiliary Verbs.

Kindly note that the objective of this class is to familiarize students with this aspect of the language. However, fluency can only be achieved by knowing and understanding the other concepts of the English language which I cover in other classes. As such, it is advisable for you to book my other classes if your goal is to improve your English speaking skills.

There are 9 parts of speech in English. Lesson 1 focuses on Nouns, Prepositions and Verbs in great detail. Lesson 2 deals with Articles, Adverbs and Adjectives in great detail while lesson 3 looks at Articles, Conjunctions and Interjections in great detail also.

The objective of this series of classes is to familiarize students with these concepts.

Please note that I teach a separate class (Part 2) that focuses on Auxiliary and Modal Verbs and it is advisable to complete all lessons under part 1 before proceeding to part 2 taking in order to achieve fluency.

The IELTS examination is a significant stepping stone for not only children, but adoloscents and adults - whether for the purpose of immigration, or for studying abroad. It is an exam that I gave just last year, for the exact purpose to my further studies.

As I am familiar with the current structure of the IELTS exams, the classes would be structured around each learner individually.
