About Me

I am a freelance teacher and I run my own English language centre in Switzerland since 2013

My regular attendance at ETAS workshops and professional development events has allowed me to better develop alternative teaching techniques, particularly facilitating English grammar assimilation and allowing me to provide lessons that are dynamic and playful for all ages and levels. My goal as a teacher is to turn learning into an enjoyable experience, and and attend to events that provide handfuls of ideas and tips

Experience / Qualifications

Sonia has worked as an English teacher in Switzerland since 2011, teaching all levels from Beginners to Post-Proficiency. She did her CELTA in London in 2015. Today she is a school manager at VSchool language centre. The school is an official trainer for Cambridge English YLs, First Certificate, Cambridge Advanced English and Proficiency examinations.
At her previous jobs she worked as an executive administrative assistant, English teacher, travel planner, staff liaison and public relations coordinator, in fast paced, international humanitarian environments such as UNHCR, MSF, Armenian local NGOs and Government organisations.

Difficulties in English or French? Learning a new language is not easy, nor is discovering a new culture. Learning is much easier when you have fun, and when the lesson is based on the child's interests.
