Hello and welcome to my profile! I am Taniya, 21 years old and I live in Ghent. As an enthusiastic student of French and English Language and Literature at the University of Ghent, I enjoy tutoring anyone who needs extra support. I studied Economics-Modern Languages at Sint-Bavo Humaniora in Ghent, where I graduated with distinction in language subjects such as Dutch, German, French and English. My studies have further strengthened my love for languages, and I am passionate about sharing this knowledge and helping others with their language development.

Experience / Qualifications

In June 2021 I received a certificate and award for the special mention as Personality of the Year. This recognition is awarded to a student who can rightly be called an ambassador of the Sint-Bavo Humaniora. This pupil expresses the values that are important to the school, is modest and at the same time intelligent, has style and acts with respect, has a sense of commitment and care. This student is great in willpower and perseverance.

Since 2021 I have been tutoring with great pleasure and have gained valuable experience through platforms such as Apprentus. To this day I mentor several students and help them achieve their learning goals.

In addition, I volunteer for Mariam VZW in Ghent, where I provide homework support to children with learning disabilities, a different language background or from vulnerable families. DUTCH FOR FOREIGNERS - ALL LEVELS - A0 to C1 / ONLINE LESSONS VIA SKYPE.
I teach beginners and advanced students. Special training is possible for integration exams or state exams.
All frequencies possible; once or several times a week. Lesson duration: 60, 90 and 120 minutes. Most students prefer lessons of 90 or 120 minutes, because 60 minutes is considered too short. I give CUSTOMIZED lessons at the pace that suits you. If you want to speed up, we speed up; if you want to slow down, we slow down; if you want to practice more, we practice more; everything depends on your general level of education and the time you have available - outside of class hours - to study and do homework.

A qualified language coach with 25 years of experience offers intensive Dutch lessons in a small class or online.

I give many Dutch NT2 lessons to expats and in preparation for an integration exam.

I provide lessons for the Nt2 Staatsexamen and Dutch Nationalisation exam (Inburgering examen)and Business Dutch for ex-pats and people who want to learn everyday Dutch. In the citizenship exam course, students learn about history, geography and basic vocabulary which are the contents of the exam. They learn how to respond to basic questions. Besides preparatory lessons for (Inburgering examen ,citizenship exam ,I teach Business Dutch( Zakelijk Nederlands) to expats. Online lessons are delivered through Google meet and Ms Teams and other online platforms. The lessons are conducted online as well as at a location in The Hague. Both private and group lessons are available.

I use several methods which are specially conceived to teach Dutch to people who have a different mother tongue. I really like to use methods out of the ordinary like role games or methods with which you learn while playing. All these adapted to the student's situation of course.
