About Me
Hey Students,
My name is Kris , originally from the UK, but have lived in New Zealand for 26 years, and now back in the UK!!! In the last 20 years my focus has been as a recording artist, distributing my own compositions to over 180 countries via streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Pandora etc. However, I'm in a unique season now when I can take a limited number of students to teach piano. My focus is on helping you express yourself on the piano, learn to compose, play from chords and by ear, and I can also help get budding artists started with development coaching - showing you the steps you need to take to get your music streamed around the world. I'm looking forward to teaching again, so please reach out if you are interested. One-off and regular lessons are fine.

I live in Essex, UK with my wonderful wife, and 8 of our 9 children (one is married) - so it's certainly not boring in our home :-)

Happy playing!

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age.

I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

In particular, simple techniques which make it possible to improve intimate, personal and professional relationships, or even to resolve and manage violent situations in a harmonious, effective and lasting way.

➤ Indeed, the objective is to improve personal / professional communication & overcome any resulting conflicts. So how do you get a clear message across and make a difference?

➤ More precisely, the objectives are to:

5. Develop conflict management and negotiation skills, alternating attentive listening, active speaking and rationality in the face of the limited rationality of the angry individual.

➤ Whether your objective is personal or professional, defusing conflicts, negotiating and speaking relevant and successful must always be effective and efficient, with clear, simple and powerful messages, creating an adequacy between the message received and the message sent. Consistency between form and substance.

➤ So, how to listen and be listened to, convince and be impactful, challenge and mark the spirits, enhance its content, address its audience effectively and optimize the quality & clarity of the exchange / message? It is precisely a question of going through, applying and deploying practical and effective techniques of verbal and non-verbal communication.

➤ Thus, mastered, the practical method allows, through a set of simulations and scenarios based on your daily experience supporting pragmatic & concrete techniques, to improve self-confidence, self-confidence, but also to work on one's leadership & charisma.

At my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams. I will give all my best so everybody will get the tools for developing their own voice, helping them to master the instrument and teaching them all the theoretical knowledge they’ll need to make their particular personality shine. Openness, joy, dedication, creativity and passion for music are some of the things that you will find in the international environment of my studio. I care about who my students are and what they have to say to the world, and I will help them to develop it from the very first lesson.

In my class you will not only be able to receive piano lessons but also will learn to understand how the music works as a language. If the interest and the profile of the student goes in the direction of the purely classical music performance, the lessons will be focused on a deep and conscious piano technique development, practicing techniques, musical interpretation, history of music, history of the piano, applied harmony on the keyboard, analysis, and score reading by a method that I have developed for over 15 years of experience. And if the students wish, I can help them to prepare for the ABRSM exams and competitions as well. All this is aiming to achieve in a very practical and exciting experience the best results in the fastest way possible. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.

Hope you can join and if so, I’ll be very happy to teach you!

I offer piano lessons for adults and children, tailored to your goals and preferences. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. Lessons are conducted in English, German and Russian. I teach piano at home in Vienna’s 3rd district and online on a beautiful Yamaha piano.

I have a full class of 13 students. Each semester, I organize a recital. If they wish, even my online students can take part through a live stream :)

I am an award-winning pianist in international competitions, a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky (BA), and currently a student at the Anton Bruckner University in Austria (MA).

I have developed my own teaching methodology, which varies depending on the student's age, skill level, and preferences. Important! I balance classes with concerts and projects. Although you're my priority, I appreciate the occasional flexibility to reschedule (only when strictly necessary).

If you like this approach, write to me! Learning music is an exciting journey, and I'd love to be your guide.

Do you feel stuck in your practice or performance?
Do you have the skills but struggle to express your musical voice with clarity and confidence?
Or maybe you’ve been performing for years but want to take your artistry further — deeper, freer, more authentically you.

That’s where I come in.

I work as a musician, coach & creative mentor, helping performers connect the dots between their artistry, mindset, and professional life.

As a violist and saxophonist with experience in solo, chamber, orchestral, classical, jazz, pop, and world music, I understand the many layers of being a musician today. It’s not just about practicing and performing — it’s also about shaping your identity, reaching your audience, and managing the behind-the-scenes work that keeps your career moving.

💡 In our sessions, we can explore whatever part of your musical journey needs support:

* 🎻 Performance & Interpretation – confidence, expression, storytelling through sound
* 🎶 Chamber & Ensemble Skills – communication, listening, blending
* 🌍 Artistic Identity – shaping your unique voice and presence as a musician
* 💡 Mindset & Stage Presence – overcoming self-doubt, nerves, or creative blocks
* 📲 Practical Support – planning projects, creating content for socials, organizing tools, and simple automations to make your musical life run smoother

You don’t have to do this alone.

Whether you’re a student, an emerging artist, or already established, we’ll work with what’s inside you — your instincts, your strengths, your goals. Sessions can be a one-time deep dive or part of a longer creative journey together.

👉 Think of it as having a coach, mentor, and creative ally for both your music and your career.

If you’ve ever wondered why your cat acts a certain way, or how to help them feel happier, safer, and more balanced at home, this class is for you. I focus on practical, compassionate guidance tailored to your cat’s unique personality and needs. During our session, you’ll learn interesting things about feline behavior (based on your goals): how to improve daily care, understand feline body language, prevent or reduce unwanted behaviors, and create a more peaceful environment for both you and your cat. Whether you’re struggling with a specific issue or simply want to deepen your bond, I’ll help you see your feline friend in a whole new light.

Although this class is listed under “pet trainer,” my approach is a little different. I don’t train cats in the traditional sense, I help YOU understand THEM. Think of me as a feline behavior translator: someone who explains your cat’s body language, emotional needs, and home environment so you can take better care of them and prevent common behavior issues.

I also combine this with gentle life-coaching principles for the owner. When you’re busy, stressed, or unsure how to handle your cat’s needs, it affects both of you. My goal is to support you and your cat together. Helping you create a calmer, more organized routine while improving your cat’s comfort, confidence, and happiness at home. Whether you want behavior insight, better daily care practices, or guidance to feel more grounded as a cat guardian, I’m here to help both sides of the relationship thrive.

This class is designed for conservatory students, private candidates and advanced musicians who need solid guidance in harmony, counterpoint and fugue, especially in preparation for exams and auditions.

We work on written exercises, stylistic correction and analytical understanding, with a clear method and step-by-step feedback. Particular attention is given to Renaissance and Baroque practices (modal counterpoint, species, tonal counterpoint, fugue), helping students understand why rules exist, not just how to apply them.

I have many years of experience teaching harmony and counterpoint, and several of my students have successfully passed conservatory composition exams thanks to this guided approach.

Lessons are adapted to the student’s level and goals, with a strong focus on clarity, consistency and practical results.
