About Me

I am an experienced academic who has been working full time in UK university system for over 20 years. I studied for my Bachelor of Arts and Doctorate at the University of London and I worked on cultural and literary issues, translation and interpretation ever since. My career so far has been at the University of Kent in the UK. Over the years I have taught Spanish and English as foreign languages at all levels; a wide range of content courses (Catalan Culture, Havana and Barcelona, Modern Spanish Theater, Spanish History, Comparative Literature, Translation, Interpreting, etc.) and I supervised undergraduate and graduate students both in person and online (via Skype, Webex, Microsoft Teams or WhatsApp). I also really enjoy teaching students how to conduct independent research and how to analyze and write academically, and have overseen numerous translation projects, comparative dissertations and doctoral theses.
