French and English for International Families: Personalized Support, from Elementary School Through High School
From 159 C$ /h
Is your child changing school systems, preparing to enter a French- or English-speaking school, or simply looking to become more confident in speaking and writing? I design a tailored programme in French or English. 🇨🇭 🇬🇧 🇫🇷
Who it's for: children and teenagers (primary, middle and high school), in international schools, moving between two systems or catching up.
Children who change schools and countries often are remarkably capable, but they rarely get to build a stable sense of "this is my place." In each lesson, your child practises speaking with confidence, leading part of the session, defending an idea and reflecting on their own progress. The goal is not only a stronger level in French or English, but a child who walks into a new classroom knowing they have something to say.
How I work: a first diagnostic lesson to identify level and goals, followed by a personalised learning plan. Every session is prepared for your child: conversation, reading, writing and study skills. Parents receive regular feedback.
My background: bilingual English-French, teaching experience in France, Finland (non-formal education) and an elite international school in Switzerland.
I take a limited number of students to guarantee quality follow-up.
To start, book a first diagnostic lesson.

About Me
Bilingual in English and French, I work with a small number of families whose children are growing up between languages, cultures and schools.
I know this world from the inside: I attended an international high school myself, and I understand how it feels to be capable and adaptable, yet to keep starting over in new places. My path since has taken me from non-formal education in Finland, to teaching in France, to an elite international school in Switzerland, where I worked with students from around the world. Alongside teaching, I work as an art coordinator, and I use art and culture to make language feel alive.
As a facilitator and designer of Erasmus+ youth exchanges, I have spent years helping young people from different cultures build confidence, take initiative and lead. I bring the same non-formal approach to my lessons: learning by doing, speaking, presenting and collaborating, rather than memorising.
My lessons combine language learning with confidence and leadership skills. Students learn to speak with clarity, lead a discussion, present their ideas and take initiative, so that they feel at ease in any classroom, in either language.
My approach is discreet, personal and demanding in the right way. I begin with a thorough assessment, build a tailored learning plan, and keep parents informed through regular, thoughtful updates. I accept a limited number of students at a time, so that each family receives my full attention.
