Group 1: The teacher gives the picture and allows the students to watch a video clip of a national park.
Hint: This national park is located in Uttarakhand, India, and is the largest in India.
Pre speaking and actual content: The students in the 1st Group will be asked to recognize the national park, the animals that can be spotted and will be asked to give a group presentation and talk on the holiday destination. They will be given time duration of 10 minutes to speak on the topic. The students will have to give the presentation and every student in the group needs to participate. Each student in a group will be asked the respective questions.
Assessment:
Question 1:
a: What are the animals and birds that can be traced?
Answer: Rhinos, Tigers, Peacock, Deer.
Question 2:
b: How many zones are there in the national park?
Answer: 5 zones.
Question 3:
How to do a wildlife safari in this national park?
Answer: By using a safari jeep
Question 4:
d. What is the time taken to complete each safari inside the park?
Answer: 3 hours
Question 5:
e. What is the name of the national park?
Answer: Jim Corbett National park
Question 6:
f. How to reach the national park and what are the different ways?
Answer: Through bus and taxi
Post Speaking: The students in Group 1 will be asked to give a small presentation on what else they have seen in the audio/video clip including the presence of any water body, lakes, any specific animal or bird, etc. The students can then speak about the spotted deer, elephants, barking deer, sloth bear, and the presence of wetlands in different zones of the national park. They can also say that there are tourists of different nationalities coming from all corners of the world to pay a tribute to this national park. They can also mention the different zones in this national park and the chances of spotting species in each of these zones.
