About Me

I am a 57-year-old global citizen/teacher/actor. I was born in the Panama Canal Zone; I grew up in the city of Boston, USA; I am the son of Colombian citizens; and someone who has been living in Sao Paulo, Brazil for over 30 years. In regard to languages, I have experience teaching wioth the use of the most diverse methods and approaches (Natural - Berlitz / Grammatical - Cultura Inglesa and Meyer's / Functional - Cel-Lep / Communicative - Alumni - Hypnopedic - International Systems, and Total-Communicative-Response / Indictive / deductive). This allows me to adapt to each students personal needs and goals. Therefore, my classes are tailor-made for you in methodology, aproach, materials used, rhythmn and objectives.
Regarding theater, I have been working in it as actor/director/producer since 1984. I also founded and directed and experimental theater workshop called Empiricus for over 10 years, with over 20 plays, all written and presented in English by workshop students. I have acted and directed in at least another 25 plays.
I am very frank, patient, responsible, punctual and disciplined, and although I have a good sense of humor, I am serious and demanding bout my work.
I'd rather teach one-on-one, or in small groups from 3-5 people maximum, in order to provide quality time to each and every one of my students.

I have been working in Theater since 1984, in the roles of actor, producer, director, playwright, teacher. And have been coaching actors/models in body language, and actors and public speakers in vocalization, body language and text/sub-text interpretation.
