I specialize in tutoring German for Beginners and Intermediate. Learning a new language can be dificult but I promise, we will make it as fun as possible and focuse on topics you like to talk about. We can adjust our classes to your needs and I will also try to introduce you to the German culture.

When you sign up for a class let me know your language level, where you have learnt it and your goals and expectations of the class. So I can prepare the class so you get most out of it and we can work on it together in a private online class.

About Me

I started giving tution classes for students in secondary school which I enjoyed a lot. It was always most satisfying for me when my students called to let me about their improving grades. After school I started a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and did some trainings on how to train professionals and be a good supervisor and trainer to apprentices. During that time I went abroad twice and took language courses myself for English and Spanish. So I very well aware how to structure classes for foreigners and how to make classes interesting. During the last 6 years I've been working for an international company and gave German classes in my free time.

I'm also a volleyball trainer and train a team in the age of 16-60 years and enjoy challenging the different characters and pushing them to their best. Some more hobbies are doing sports, drawing, travelling and cooking.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.

Learning is easy, but unlearning bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible.
