About Me

I am a full-time professional Chess Instructor with over 7 years of coaching experience, having trained 600+ students across India and internationally, including the USA, UK, Singapore, Australia, and the Middle East.

My journey in chess includes active participation at district, state, and inter-school levels, which helps me bring both practical playing experience and structured teaching into my classes. As a coach, my focus is not only on improving a student’s chess strength but also on developing confidence, discipline, logical thinking, and the ability to handle pressure.

I am a Latvian Candidate Master with an international FIDE rating of 2059 and an English Chess Federation rating of 2120, and an online rating of 2400, reflecting a strong competitive level. Improve your chess through a structured training programme built around your own games, goals and recurring mistakes.

I work with ambitious juniors and adult players from beginner level to approximately 1900 online. Lessons can cover game analysis, calculation, candidate-move selection, tactical awareness, positional understanding, practical endgames, opening structures, time management and tournament preparation.

Each lesson combines clear explanations with practical exercises. After the lesson, you receive annotated study material, targeted homework and a specific training objective for the following week.

For junior students, I can also provide parents with regular written progress updates. Before the first lesson, please send me your current rating and two recent games so that I can prepare an individual assessment.

Lessons are conducted online in English.
