I'm looking for students in Utrecht, I have a teaching space available in my apartment (I can share my address when you contact me), but am also able to travel to your desired space within the city. I can also teach via webcam, but I do recommend my in-person classes, seeing as they're more immersive and educational. I unfortunately do not speak Dutch (yet), but am confident we can overcome any potential language barrier we come across. I have the most experience in teaching teenagers and preteens, so I think we would definitely be a good match if you're a parent or guardian looking for a teacher for your child. Photoshop is used differently for painting and drawing than for photography retouching. I will show you how to use all the tools of the program, but I will also teach you how to think about game art, concept art and illustration, whether it is for character design, creature design, environment design or prop design. I will also teach you all the fundamentals that are essential in the industry, such as anatomy, perspective, colour and light, and composition. After graduating from l'École Émile Cohl with a bachelor specialised in Game Art, I have had the chance of working with more than 15 different studios of video games, board games, trading card games and tabletop RPGs, creating concept art and illustrations for them. Now an Art Teacher, I use my experience and skills both as an artist and as a teacher to share with you all my knowledge of the subject and of the industry.

This course is aimed at those wishing to improve or discover the disciplines of traditional and/or digital drawing. I am in my third year at HEAJ in the computer graphics category and am studying precisely the areas that I teach. Namely drawing in general and the use of the Adobe suite (including Illustrator and Photoshop, the most widespread digital drawing software). To establish your program, tell me what you want to work on and I will write your lessons accordingly. The first lesson will be used to see your level. IMPORTANT: I am still a student so my schedules are very varied. The times that I put on the site timetable are therefore not relevant. It would be best if we planned our meetings amicably.

Blender is one of the most popular and well-renowned 3D modelling software. To many it is scary and difficult to approach and starting is the hardest part! Learning how to use Blender is a vital skill if you are interested in Game Design, advertising, CGI and a plethora of other things. 3D is in almost every industry. In this class, I will teach you all the essentials you will need to know so you can: model, texture and animate within this software. I have 3 years of experience within Blender and I have a distinction in a Level 3 extended diploma in Games Development. In these classes, I will provide a document with all the important shortcuts that are vital.

Based on long-term experience among all audiences and in-depth knowledge of traditional or modern tools, I like to bring together all these areas to experience Art in its beautiful part of creation. My course is focused on the desires for expression and research formulated by the students. Nothing pleases me more than allowing you to access what attracts you most in the narrative image (comics, illustration, Concept Art). We will address together both character issues (anatomy, stylization, etc.) and settings (perspective, landscapes, etc.). I put the desire of my students at the heart of the learning process.

I am a multidisciplinary artist and designer with fifteen years of experience. I studied art and architecture at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Columbia University in New York. I teach painting, drawing, digital image and creativity. This class is ideal for beginners but also intermediate students who want to develop their own style. For my personal projects, I work in a wide range of mediums, from drawing, painting and printmaking to digital image and 3D Printing. When teaching, I prefer to first focus on free-hand drawing and painting as this allows for greater spontaneity regardless of the student's technical level. We later explore other methods based on the student's individual interests. I like to teach children and adults via mini projects involving art history references and help them develop narratives around their work. I deeply believe in people's creative potential and in my classes will help you channel your own voice.

Would you like to be able to illustrate the worlds and stories you imagine? Do you want to learn how to create characters for a video game, animation, children's story, comic or in any format? Or would you like to be able to draw your favorite characters? If you have those concerns, I would love to help you. I like to focus the classes in such a way that the current drawing level of the student is not what is important. The room for improvement will always evolve. I like to take my classes towards character design, towards general things like the psychology of color and shapes, since they are assimilable and highly useful concepts, independent of the level of drawing. For this reason, my classes are aimed at all ages and drawing levels. I also try to focus them on the preferences and tastes of each student, showing them that everything they like, they like for a reason, that nothing is left to chance and that they can also understand how to make their drawings reflect what they want to convey. Even to create your portfolios or visual information for your own project or story. I give private classes with students from different parts of the world, so many of my classes I have been able to do in both English and French. I studied 2D animation in France, and thanks to this training, my work has been nourished by dynamism, storytelling, expressiveness, typical of this medium, as well as the sensitivity for color and shapes that I usually use to infuse a unique style both to my original designs as well as my fanarts.

I work as a 3D generalist for cinema and/or video games, with a specialization in 3D Layout/Préviz. Digital art requires no less skill than traditional art making, but it does require a different mode of thinking. Yes, a digital device will have the ability to make a stroke look and layer like watercolour or give the texture of drawing with charcoal. However, when one learns traditional art techniques, they gain a deeper understanding of the materials and what they can do.
