About Me
I am a mixed media textile artist and craft maker. For the past year I have been working as a freelance scenic painter, costume maker, and in various art fabrication workshops. I am the founder of Studio SLO a furniture restoration company and have my own online shop selling printed jewellery, clothing and artwork I have made. I have a background in printmaking and have previous experience facilitating printmaking workshops at Design Me Print textiles. I have un up to date DBS check and was a private art tutor for two years.
I have some experience teaching art lessons virtually, starting this at the start of lockdown to raise money for the NHS.
My practice focuses on how one can fuse waste materials within traditional art and textiles techniques. Which is how I came to developing my own hybrid printing and joining method involving aluminium cans and plastic packaging. The printmaking workshops I will teach all have roots of traditional techniques with adaptions I have made so they are suitable for those without the correct equipment.
