Hello!
My name is Ira and I am a professional illustrator and comic artist. I have more than 8 years of experience in illustration and more than 3 years of experience teaching drawing and illustration in person and online.

This course will serve both adults who want to study drawing and improve their skills in composition, aerial perspective and anatomy, as well as children who want to have a good time creating interesting illustrations that can tell a story.

I believe that the best approach to learning is personalized for each student. We can adapt the study program depending on your preferences and what you want to achieve at the end of the course.

The duration of the course is optional:
- can be a personalized program of x classes to achieve a particular skill
- or they can be regular classes where I will introduce you one by one to the fundamentals of drawing or/and illustration

I hope to share my knowledge with you and help you better understand the world of drawing!

Extra information

Depending on your preferences, classes can be done using traditional materials (only pencils and drawing paper will be needed at first) or in digital programs (such as Procreate).

About Me

- I believe that each person learns at their own pace and that each one will need a slightly different programme in order to develop their potential.
- For me it is important to first understand the goals of the student and then give them the right tools to work towards them.
- I believe that not all classes should be exclusively academic. Sometimes we need to understand something using more alternative exercises so we stop being afraid of making mistakes on the paper.
- For children: in order for them to become fond of drawing I think it is important not only to give them the basic knowledge and structure, but also the opportunity to find their own way of representing things.

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen.

I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist.

I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns.

In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on.

You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns.

It is essential nowadays that you can take clean, crisp images on your very own smartphone. I've created this course to help you create professional-looking photos, all taken and edited on your phones.
