This course is meant for beginners who are keen to work in the field of Fashion Designing and for those who want to start their own entrepreneurship. This course provides a basic understanding of pattern making skills, sewing techniques and tools which are being used for garment construction. At present, many technologies and tools are being used for pattern making therefore, it become necessary to understand basics of pattern making and sewing techniques. This particular course discusses about pattern making, sewing, techniques and practical activities in the context of body measurements, marking and hand stitching. The course on “Basics of Pattern Making and Sewing” aims to develop a good knowledge and understanding of garment construction skill and sewing techniques.

A talented and student-focused fashion lecturer with 2+ years of experience in teaching undergraduate fashion studio courses at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand and as a guest lecture at various institutions in India.
Through a passionate endeavour in organising curriculum, teaching materials, and classroom implementation; I have successfully taught varying subjects in Fashion Design including illustrations, design development, patternmaking, garment construction, and CLO 3D software, in an engaging way that promotes student participation.
