It means that anyone can draw, not just the talented. Let me explain in more detail. The theory of measurements and angles is a theory whose mission is to analyze the mental processes that take place in the artist’s mind, which enable him to draw, and turn them into steps. This means that this theory can make you draw even if you do not have any talent... Yes, as you read, this theory consists of three rules that anyone can understand and then make the necessary effort to apply what they understand. As a result, their well-deserved reward will be to have the ability to draw anything, even if they originally lack talent, so what if you have the talent and just want to hone it?

However, it is important to note that this theory is not suitable for someone looking for an easy or quick method that relies on some tricks. Rather, it was designed to help people who are willing to put in the time and effort required to achieve their desired goal, which is to build a solid skill for a professional person who is confident that every time he wants to draw something, he will succeed in doing so.

This course contains explanations of a powerful and effective theory called the theory of (measurements and angles). This theory will teach the student how to draw any element he wants to draw. The course consists of two parts:

In the first part, you will learn how to draw a simple geometric shape to easily understand the principles of the theory. This part will be explained in one video.

In the second part, we will develop the explanation of the theory and take it to a higher level, where you will learn how to draw an organic shape, which is a pear. After you finish drawing it, you will learn how to shade it properly. This part will be explained through six videos.

About Me

I am Marwan Gamal, a visual artist and art teacher. I graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 2003. I worked in the field of animation for a few years, then moved to work as a visual artist and art teacher. I taught drawing to many individuals, whether privately or through educational institutions. I also presented many illustrated drawing lessons on social media. I am also working on my own artistic project entitled “A Breath of Life,” which is an artistic production that deals with the era of the ancient Egyptians, or what is called the era of “Pharaonic Egypt.” I have many artistic collections, and I have executed many artistic works upon client requests.

The educational course in your hands is 59 minutes long and divided into 12 lessons as follows:

In the first lesson, we will quickly review the parts that make up the eye. You will also learn how and where to place the eye in its appropriate place in the facial space. You will also learn about the relationship between the eyelid and the eye and how to draw the eyelid correctly and in a three-dimensional manner.
In the second lesson, we will review the parts of the eye in detail, or more precisely, a detailed explanation of the anatomy of the eye. You will also learn how to form the eyebrows and eyelashes correctly.
In the third lesson, we will begin the practical part. Through five specific steps, you will learn how to draw an eye correctly, from the first planning stage until reaching the final details.
In the fourth lesson, we will begin explaining the nose. You will learn how to place the nose in a cube shape and what the purpose behind that is. You will also learn how the shape of the nose changes with the movement of the human head and the angle from which we view the nose.
In the fifth lesson, you will learn in detail how to dissect the nose and the parts that make it up. The importance of this is that your knowledge of anatomy strengthens your vision and perception of details that actually exist and almost protrude from under the skin.
In Lesson 6, you will learn how to divide the nose into small surfaces. This is because the nose is a complex shape, and it is important to train your eyes to simplify the shape of the nose while drawing it.
In the seventh lesson, we will begin the practical part. Through five specific steps, you will learn how to draw a nose correctly, from the first planning stage until reaching the final details.
In Lesson 8, you will learn how to build the basic shapes of the mouth. You will also learn anatomically what muscles form the mouth area and help us control lip movement.
In Lesson 9, you will learn what parts make up the mouth from the outside and the area surrounding it. You will also learn how to see the roundness of the mouth, the overlapping lines of the lips, and many other details.
In the tenth lesson, we will begin the practical part. Through five specific steps, you will learn how to draw a mouth correctly, from the first planning stage until reaching the final details stage.
In the eleventh lesson, you will learn all the details related to the ear, such as its relationship to the head from all directions and the parts that make up the ear. You will also learn a nice trick to simplify the internal details of the ear, which many artists consider complex and difficult. Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you!

Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs.

The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language.

(Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.)
