Acting is a skill honed by dedication and love of the craft, and taking the steps to audition for drama school proves you have that passion inside of you.

Having been trained at New York University’s prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, under the Stella Adler Studio, I have developed the art of the audition monologue and would love to share this with you.

Stella Adler, who taught the likes of Marlon Brando, was a member of Stanislavski’s Group Theatre, who created her own Acting Studio in New York City after the collaboration split. Her technique is a development of the traditional Stanislavski technique, with an added emphasis on imagination. These audition prep classes will be based upon Stella Adler and Stanislavski’s approach.

On top of coaching, I can also help find the perfect audition monologues for you if we choose to work together over multiple sessions.

About our partnership with Hollywood

Hollywood Actor's Showcase and Richie's Acting Workshop is one of the best-known, most influential acting schools in the United States. After 30 years of training for aspiring actors and Hollywood stars (including Scarlett Johansson and Drew Barrymore), she teamed up with Belgium's Badass Intensive Acting Studios last year to expand European. The goal is simple: to bring the authentic energy of Hollywood to Europe, so that even people who cannot afford to move to America themselves can receive the same education.

There are not many acting courses that focus on acting in front of the camera. After all, most schools teach you — implicitly or explicitly — theater techniques and while the art of acting itself remains central, it should be clear that acting for TV and film requires slightly different skills, as it usually involves subtler, smaller expressions and movements. . Film connoisseurs therefore know that the camera tends to notice the smallest emotion.

The most minuscule micro-expressions, the least obvious 'subtext' and the most layered interpretations are visible on both the large and the small screen.

In Belgium, Badass PR's Intensive Acting Courses have long been one of the few acting classes that deal exclusively with acting in front of the camera, supplemented with improvisation.

During the lessons, all the important acting techniques are discussed, including those of Adler, Chekhov, Hagen, Meisner, Practical Aesthetics, Stanislavski and Strasberg, but the goal remains the same: to forget technique in a sense and to act as naturally as you breathe. Badass Intensive Acting Studios' own technology, REPEAT, has also been developed for this.

Ever since author / coach / editor / PR consultant Dirk started teaching acting classes more than 10 years ago, he has tried to offer his students as many opportunities as he could. That went by trial and error: sometimes he failed to get something off the ground, at other times he succeeded in his objectives. Those of his students range from developing more self-confidence to becoming more sociable and getting more opportunities to star in a play, a movie or a TV series. One of the best decisions: partnering with the Hollywood Actors' Studios of Larry, Bobbie and Richie Chance - three of the most famous acting coaches in the film world.

Badass Intensive Acting has been organizing workshops in Los Angeles and Las Vegas for years now to enable its students to learn from the most prestigious instructors, talent agents and casting directors that Los Angeles has on offer. For example, the collaboration with Hollywood Actor's Showcase and Richie's Acting workshop has already paid off.

Of course it depends on many factors whether you can achieve success as an actor — a great deal of luck and a lot of dedication are usually very important — but the students at the Chances can certainly say that they are as prepared as they can be. From improv lessons to working with scripts and intensely emotional lessons, the courses cover the entire spectrum of what the film world needs.

Since August 2019, Badass Intensive Acting Studios and Hollywood Actor's Showcase in Belgium have been flying under a banner. In Belgium, the Chances now work exclusively with Badass Intensive Acting Studios (now 'Powered by Hollywood Actor's Showcase'). These sessions allow the development of skills and knowledge of the trade, with the game facing the camera, familiarization with the audiovisual environment and the camera tool, in the art of acting.

I'm a former New York City voice teacher/coach, professional singer and an award winning composer who has relocated to Berlin. I've taught with the most reputable children's musical theatre organizations in NYC with students of all ages as well as private students and I've worked with Broadway stars such as Laura Osnes, Karen Mason and Ron Bohmer, who have also recorded my music, and I'm excited to bring my 20 yrs of teaching experience to Berlin! I teach songwriting as well, if that is something you're interested in.

I'm a classically trained singer who performed with the San Francisco Opera and other companies both in opera and musical theatre for many years. Though I specialize now in musical theatre, I am happy and comfortable teaching you to sing in whatever style you prefer. The basics are the same! In our lessons, we will work on breath, correct vowel pronunciation, placement, diction, etc... as well as getting rid of the tension and habits that keep us from singing freely and beautifully. We will also work on the musical and dramatic aspects of the material we choose together, so that you will feel comfortable at an audition or a performance. Classes, choreography and staging! in person or virtually

Are you going home and want to do something special? Let's do it together, whether it's a dance, a performance, or whatever you want—alone, with your partner, family, bridesmaids, or whoever you want. There are two options: I'll teach you how to dance the genre you're going to dance plus the choreography, or I'll just teach you the choreography. It's up to you.

The cost of creating choreographies depends on their duration (in addition to the cost of the class and/or rehearsal).

Acting significa recitare, recitazione, ma anche "to play" significa recitare, suonare, ma anche giocare. Vorrà pur dire qualche cosa... :)
Siamo tutti sempre davanti ad un pubblico! 1, 10, 100, 1000 persone! Chi lo sa meglio di un attore? Chi più di un attore è abituato a parlare in pubblico? E poi... è più divertente!

Partendo dagli elementi essenziali della Comunicazione, le lezioni di APS (Acting Public Speaking) integrano nello specifico del parlare in pubblico molti degli elementi base della recitazione, in una modalità che parte dall'esperienza diretta dell'insegnante.
Lavoreremo quindi sui “classici" elementi base della Comunicazione (verbale, non verbale, paraverbale), nonché sulla preparazione di un discorso pubblico: scegliere i contenuti, le fonti, il setting, e molti degli altri aspetti che rendono un discorso in pubblico un discorso efficace.

Il mio approccio attoriale pone l’attenzione sul respiro, l’uso della voce, le basi di dizione (articolazione ed elementi di ortoepia), l’ascolto e l’osservazione di se stessi e degli altri, la memorizzazione, il corpo, la postura, il contatto col pubblico.
Fai arrivare i tuoi contenuti in una conversazione, in un colloquio di lavoro, una conferenza, un esame, un'interrogazione, una recita (amatoriale e non), quando leggi un tuo scritto! Respira, ascolta, parla al tuo pubblico usando tecniche attoriali.
Divertiti parlando in pubblico. Se ti diverti tu, si divertirà anche chi ti ascolta, e ti ascolterà più volentieri, anche se l'argomento è serissimo!
D’altronde: chi, più di un attore... Ah, l’ho già detto... Ma... ti ho detto che c’è anche da divertirsi..?
