About Me

Hello, I'm Leander. I'm originally from London and have been living in Berlin for eleven years. I teach in German or English.

As a teacher, I am patient, curious, and adapt my lessons to the interests and goals of my students. It's important to me that learning is fun and allows room for experimentation. I combine practical exercises with music theory, ear training, and rhythm so that my students not only improve their technique but also gain a deeper understanding of music and develop into well-rounded musicians.

I enjoy teaching jazz, pop, and folk, but I'm open to other genres. Depending on your interests, we can also improvise, write songs, or arrange them. Lessons are suitable for children and adults, as well as beginners and advanced students.

Drums, as with bass guitar are the backbone of any good song, and the foundation upon which the music is built. Despite not being as famous as lead vocals or lead guitar. Drums in my opinion is much more fun, at all levels of performance.

I will teach you how to play the drums, how to fit the style to the genre and we will learn by practice by breaking down the famous classics, and explain what part drums played to make these classics so good.

We will use my electronic drumset, which is not as good as the real thing but is definitely good for starters. There are ways you can practice at home without a drumset as well. And we can expand later and rent a studio room, where I can jam with you on the guitar even!

Welcome! I am a diversely skilled musician and artist from Australia. A performance graduate of the prestigious Australian National University School of Music, I have a strong foundation in vocal technique that I draw upon to help students develop their own sound.

I have performed and collaborated with well-known international musicians including Grammy Award winning artist Chilly Gonzales. I have toured and released music internationally, achieving acclaim independently, off the back of my own hard work.
