We can work with a textbook if that's what you need, or ditch it entirely in favour of videos, articles, and conversation. No matter your level, I’ll find and create suitable and interesting materials that will actually help you progress.
Lessons can include: conversation, pronunciation practice, grammar lessons and writing tasks, exam preparation, reading articles or stories together, or learning by watching series.

Love sci-fi, gaming, tech, history deep-dives, or wonderfully niche topics? So do I! These “geek” lessons are aimed at B1+ level learners. I can also run a D&D campaign designed for language learning, for 1-3 players. I have been doing it professionally for a couple of years!

About Me
Hi! I'm Satu, a language teacher from Finland, now living in Switzerland.
I have several years of experience teaching adults, but I’ve also taught in vocational school and secondary school in Finland. My youngest private student was 8 and the oldest are 70+!
I fully believe that while learning a new language always demands a certain amount of effort, it should also be enjoyable and rewarding. I always teach with a positive attitude and almost infinite patience, and since I've learned several foreign languages myself, I know exactly how hard it can be, and how to make it less so.
My personal interests are centered on culture, especially art and games.
I look forward to meeting you in a lesson! :)

J'ai plusieurs années d'expérience dans l'enseignement aux adultes, mais j'ai également enseigné dans un lycée professionnel et un collège en Finlande. Mon plus jeune élève en cours particuliers avait 8 ans, et les plus âgés ont 70 ans et plus !
Je suis convaincue que si l'apprentissage d'une nouvelle langue demande toujours un certain effort, il doit aussi être agréable et enrichissant. J'enseigne toujours avec une attitude positive et une patience presque infinie. Comme j'ai moi-même appris plusieurs langues étrangères, je sais exactement à quel point c'est difficile, et comment l'être un peu moins.
Mes intérêts personnels tournent autour de la culture, notamment l'art et les jeux.
