About Me
My teaching philosophy is centered around one word, 'acceptance'. In my lessons, I lead with the idea of accepting whatever comes out of the student, simply because they created it. Music is play. It is meant to be fun! It is a source of joy. People are surprised at how fast students progress when the pressure of achieving a certain expectation is erased. Students then turn to the instrument for comfort and peace. This is what will keep them playing for years to come. My students know that we strive for 'progress' not 'perfection'. When students are taught unconditional self-love, they themselves fuel the passion to progress out of excitement and curiosity.
