About Me

My name is Reyes García. I am a health psychologist, and during my career I have always been interested in and dedicated to childcare. In this sense, I have worked both in the child - adolescent therapeutic field and in the educational field. I understand that learning is a goal that can be reached in various ways and first you have to understand and adapt the knowledge to each child individually. As there are many ways of learning, I usually choose the most dynamic, so that my students find in this process a motivation to achieve meaningful learning that makes them feel valid and capable.

Education

As for my formal education, I have a degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in General Health Psychology from the University of Seville. Also, I have the Advanced Certificate in English (C1).

Experience / Qualifications

I have spent the last years working at the Galiani Psychosanitary Center in addition to private and stimulation classes in the city of Seville. I am currently living in Madrid, and this is why I am looking for new students.

I fundamentally give a communicative approach to my classes, I apply a method that places special emphasis on interaction and the use of language in real situations.
Since they are mostly private classes and in small groups, it is possible to personalize them and adapt them to the needs of each student or group.

I am currently a third-year student pursuing a double degree in Philosophy and Social Studies at the University of Madrid (UCM). I have one year of experience teaching private tutoring and English classes. I offer classes in any subject from elementary to high school. However, I specialize in English and humanities and social sciences, which constitute my current field of study.
My one-year stay in Dublin allows me to introduce my students to the English language more deeply, thereby instilling my passion for teaching and learning it. I also learned firsthand the study and examination methods at Cambridge, an institution from which I hold a C1, although my ongoing language training means I currently have a C2 level.
In my classes, I try to tailor the content to the students' unique characteristics and interests to achieve the desired results as effectively as possible, while also improving their relationship with their studies and passion for knowledge.

English is essential in the modern world, but the most important thing is being able to communicate it effectively. In this course, you'll achieve that easily and enjoyably.

The classes are engaging and interactive, adapting to your progress level and taking into account your language goals. Each class includes a variety of writing, listening, and speaking exercises that will strengthen your connection with the language and boost your confidence and comfort. We also treat mistakes as learning opportunities, allowing us to work at your own pace and help you achieve your goals.

Do you find it difficult to express yourself in English even though you understand quite a bit? Would you like to speak with more confidence, naturalness, and fluency?

My name is Álvaro and I have experience living in the United States and Ireland, as well as a TEFL – Full Circle 360 qualification specializing in teaching English as a foreign language.

My classes are especially focused on improving oral expression and helping you feel comfortable speaking English in real-life situations.

We will work primarily through:

🗣️ Everyday conversations and situations
💬 Debates and expression of opinions
🎲 Games and activities to help you speak naturally
🎬 Movies, series, videos and songs
🌍 Travel, culture and experiences
🎭 Role plays and real-life situations
📖 Useful vocabulary and expressions to help you communicate better
🔊 Pronunciation and fluency

The idea is for you to speak from the very first minute. During our conversations, I'll correct your mistakes and help you find more natural ways to express yourself, always adapting to your level.

I'm not looking for you to memorize endless vocabulary lists: I want you to learn to use English to truly communicate and gradually lose your fear of speaking.

The classes are fully adapted to your level, interests and goals, whether you are starting out or already have a good level and want to gain fluency.

Learning a language should help you communicate, not make you afraid of making mistakes.
I am a philologist, language teacher, and doctoral researcher with over eight years of experience teaching Spanish to students from various countries and proficiency levels. Above all, I recognize that everyone learns differently.
That is why my classes are tailored to you—to your level, your interests, and your specific goals. We can focus on conversation, grammar, pronunciation, writing, or Spanish and English for work, studies, travel, or simply to help you speak with greater confidence.
I enjoy explaining the "why" behind things clearly and simply, without turning the lesson into an endless stream of rules. We will work with real-life situations, topics that interest you, and concrete objectives so you can see your progress firsthand.
Whether you have studied a language for years but still freeze up when speaking, understand far more than you can express, or simply want to start from scratch with a solid foundation, we can work together.
My goal is simple: for you to need me less and less as you become increasingly capable of handling the language on your own.
Tell me what you want to achieve, and we’ll design your lessons around that.
