I have successfully prepared dozens of learners from Madrid for their Cambridge exams since 2015. I can provide you with all the insights and tips and strategies that I have picked up over the years to make sure that you pass your exam with the score that you need. About Me

I am a teacher of English as a second language who has been based in Madrid, Spain, since 2004. I specialise in preparing students for Cambridge exams (FCE, CAE and Proficiency), as well as other exams such as TOEFL/TOEIC and IELTS.

I also have a deep understanding of what adult professionals need to do in order to improve their communication in English at work or in their career. I focus on communicative skills (speaking and listening), and make sure my students are ready to deal with any real-life situations they may encounter.

Having studied two foreign languages at university, I also understand the importance of a good understanding of the grammar of a foreign language. I can explain any doubts or questions regarding English grammar clearly and precisely. I have a wide range of materials and resources ready to use in class.

I had already been doing online classes since 2015 and once the pandemic began, I took the opportunity to become proficient in all the current and relevant online platforms and tools.

My learning idea is based on interactive activities between my student and me, with word games, card games to improve the syllabi. I will also bring printed exercises for the denser syllabi and for reading comprehension activities in Spanish. We will see a text in which different topics will be discussed and the student must understand what each paragraph says. For this last exercise, I will use the texts and printed images from my printed edition of Guía de Madrid.

This course suggests that we enter a level of English that allows you to deal with your personal life and your professional life. Furthermore, the idea is to be able to talk about the media, to function in different environments. It is also important in this course to think about eating. How nice it is to know how to order a good plate of food or go to a gym knowing how to talk to people. Here you can delve into the different greetings and means of establishing contact with Spanish.

I am currently a third-year student pursuing a double degree in Philosophy and Social Studies at the University of Madrid (UCM). I have one year of experience teaching private tutoring and English classes. I offer classes in any subject from elementary to high school.
