About Me

Hello,
I am an opera singer with over 10 years of experience.
I have performed at Dutch National Opera, Wiener Staatsoper, Nederlandse Reisopera, Aachen theater and Brussels Operette theater in the last 2 years.
Have done roles as well as been part of an opera chorus so i am familiar with the audition process for both positions.
Originally from Latvia, I studied choir conducting amd piano but later continued my studies in England and obtained my Masters in Opera at the Conservatorium Maastricht, Netherlands. In over the years of being abroad I have had lessons with many singers and coaches of international level and have collected a lot of information in regards to opera technique which I apply to myself on a daily basis as a freelance singer.

I'm a critically acclaimed pianist from Denmark, with studies from The Royal Danish Academy of Music, Copenhagen and Rimsky Korsakov Conservatory, St Petersburg, now working with professor Igor Roma at the Maastricht Conservatorium.
I have received prizes in national and international competitions, and received funding from bigger Danish foundations.
I would like to introduce my students into the beautiful world of classical music, and help my students become quality musicians.

I teach my students to be creative, efficient and confident. As someone who has been playing piano for 20 years, I can introduce efficient practice methods and thinking attitudes that can accelerate the progress. There are some mandatory pieces and exercises that the students are required to play, but there is also room for whatever piece they choose and love to play.

In the lessons, we will be focusing on setting or developing all the required skills for the students to be able to perform independently, understand the musical language, and explore their own sound. Focusing on posture, hand coordination, rhythm, ear training, reading scores, and improvisation. So far my musical exposure in many different genres allows me to create a lesson that is adapted to the specific needs of my students. I have garnered the patience and belief in the idea that anyone can become a part of the music world with the proper amount of attention and guidance.

In my 7 years of experience tutoring individuals ranging from 4 to 60 year olds, from budding composers with an interest in music theory, to those who want to learn to perform, I have become a versatile teacher. I take care to get to know you, your areas of interest and your learner type in order to construct methods and practice plans that will be both fun and challenging, allowing you to learn most effectively. My lessons will be whatever you want to make of them, however focused or broad you want your learning to be, I will ensure you develop the understanding and technique to achieve your goals. I loved every bit of it and today i want to share that joy with others while they develop their music talent.

As the leader of the Little Big Jazz Orchestra, which I founded in 2022, I explore rich emotional landscapes through expressive melodies, intricate harmonies, and unique orchestrations.

My orchestra has received recognition, including a nomination for the Maastricht Jazz Awards, the Audience Award, and performances at festivals such as Jazz Out Fest and Make It Jazz Festival in Tilburg. We were also finalists for the Edmond Hustinx Prize and received an Honorable Mention at the Laren Jazz Festival 2024. Currently, we are preparing for our debut album release.

In addition to performing, I offer lessons in jazz piano, composition, and music theory. It can be jazz, pop and gospel music. My teaching focuses on helping students develop a strong foundation while discovering their unique sound. Whether you are looking to improve your improvisation, deepen your understanding of harmony, or compose your own music, I am here to guide you on your musical journey.
