Do you make music at home, but always wanted to record a song for fun?

If you are learning how to play it, I have the gear to help you create and record a song, so you can share it with your friends and family, or just have it for yourself.
I can play a lot of instruments and create tracks to accompany you. You can write a song or make a recording of you playing something you are working on. Depending on your level and experience with music, it would be a great way to learn some music theory too.

I am Julia, a professional musician originally from Montreal, Canada. I have lived in the Netherlands for 4 years and have a Master's degree in Music. I compose, engineer, and perform music. I also love to teach, I have experience with ages 9 to 90. I want to get the song in your head out into the air.

About Me
I am a professional saxophonist, electronic music producer, artistic researcher, and hopefully your next teacher and creative coach.

I teach saxophone and music in general and also specialize in "creative coaching" for my dear students who want to make something special in the world. I call my teaching technique "Guided Fearless Music Making!"

I have a Master's in Music, 15 years of stage experience, almost 10 of teaching experience, lots of devoted students, and a well-known balance of honesty and friendliness.

Originally from Montreal, Canada. I speak English (Native), French (Fluent), and ik spreek een beetje Nederlands met een zachte "g".
In my free time I host radio shows, sing, paddleboard, and bike around Limburg.

Maybe you need an open ear to talk to about creativity, somebody to make sure you are following through on things, or help finding your curiosity.

Maybe you secretly made a New Year's resolution to follow through on a creative project, maybe it's something new or to return to something you'd left behind.

We all have our mediums, mine is music! Even if you are not a musician but do other kinds of projects, I hope I can help you structure and spark your creative project.

I have taught music lessons and given group workshops since 2016. I have also produced and funded performances, recordings, and research projects. Doing this with a Master's in Music but also side-studies in Psychology, Education, and years of experience as a freelancer, I am always learning about balancing organization and creativity.

Any level welcome in this class. Learning songs is the beginning of the adventure, learning to play music with freedom is the lifelong journey. Improvisation does not mean we forget about technique! So, learn some saxophone, some jazz skills, and music theory in a tried-and-tested way developed over my many years of teaching.

I am as passionate about improvisation as the saxophone itself, the two go together beautifully.
