About Me

Konnichiwa! I'm a native Japanese speaker who enjoys connecting with people from different backgrounds.

I've had the opportunity to live and work in Japan and Africa, meeting people with diverse experiences, cultures, and perspectives. One of the most valuable experiences in my life was spending 1.5 year volunteering in Madagascar. During that time, I worked on supporting children with disabilities and taught Japanese to local students, communicating with people in their own language, which I studied hard to learn.

This experience taught me to be more patient, open-minded, and accepting of cultural differences. It also helped me understand how challenging it can be to learn and communicate in another language, and how rewarding it feels when you can connect with people across language barriers.

I believe learning a language is not just about memorizing words and grammar. It's also about connecting with people and discovering new cultures.
