Business English, Confident Conversation, Interviews and Presentations with an Oxford Law Graduate
From 157 C$ /h
Speak with greater confidence in English—whether you are preparing for an interview, delivering a presentation or taking part in an important business conversation.
I offer personalised, one-to-one sessions for intermediate and advanced English speakers, particularly international professionals, university students and applicants. Together, we will work on expressing your ideas clearly, choosing appropriate language and responding thoughtfully to questions.
Each lesson starts with your goals. We might discuss a topical article, rehearse a job or university interview, practise a presentation, or explore a realistic workplace situation. I will give you specific feedback on your wording, structure and delivery, with practical points to work on between sessions. You are welcome to bring your own presentation, interview questions or discussion topics.
I graduated with a First in Law from Oxford and completed the Bachelor of Civil Law before training as a barrister. I am now a non-practising barrister with substantial experience in banking, business leadership and international consultancy. My approach draws on years of explaining complex ideas, presenting arguments and working with people across cultures.
Lessons normally last 60 minutes and are available online to students worldwide, with in-person sessions also possible in and around London. My aim is to help you communicate with clarity and confidence in situations that matter to you.

Extra information
Before our first session, please tell me what you would like to achieve and whether you have an interview, presentation or other important occasion coming up. You are welcome to bring relevant materials so we can make our time focused and useful.
I particularly welcome international professionals, university applicants and students seeking thoughtful, individual support with confident English and communication in British academic, professional and social settings. Having studied at Oxford and lived and worked in both Britain and Bangladesh, I bring an understanding of different cultures alongside substantial legal and business experience. I also speak Bengali fluently.
I am well travelled across Asia and the Middle East, frequently visiting Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Doha and Kuwait City. These experiences have broadened my global perspective and awareness of cultural differences with the UK. I can help students and professionals explore those differences, communicate confidently in business and become more comfortable with British culture and social conventions.
Sessions can combine communication practice with mentoring on university preparation or professional goals, depending on your needs. We will agree clear priorities and use mock interviews, relevant role-play and specific feedback to help you prepare. Online sessions are available worldwide, with appointment times agreed to suit our time zones.

About Me
I’m Moshfeque, a London-based Oxford law graduate and non-practising barrister. I attended the City of London School, graduated with a First in Law from Oxford and completed the Bachelor of Civil Law before training for the Bar. Alongside my academic background, I bring many years of experience in banking, business leadership and international consultancy.
I enjoy thoughtful conversation, meeting people from different backgrounds and helping others express their ideas with confidence. My approach is calm, attentive and practical. I listen carefully to what you want to achieve, ask questions that help you develop your thinking and offer clear, constructive feedback. You do not need perfect English or polished answers to get started.
Having lived and worked in Bangladesh for more than 15 years, and travelled frequently to Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai and Doha, I understand that communication styles and expectations can vary across cultures. I can help international students and professionals feel more comfortable in British academic, business and social settings. I also speak Bengali fluently.
My sessions are particularly suited to adults and older teenagers who want to improve their spoken English, prepare for interviews or presentations, or explore university and professional goals. We can use guided discussion, mock interviews and realistic role-play, focusing on situations that are relevant to you.
I am building my private tutoring practice on a career spent explaining complex ideas clearly, as well as experience delivering a guest seminar to an LLM class at Cardiff University. My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging working relationship where you feel comfortable asking questions, testing ideas and making steady progress towards your goals.

Although I am relatively new to formal private tutoring, I bring substantial academic and professional experience to practical sessions in advanced English conversation, business communication, interview preparation, presentations and mentoring. My approach combines guided discussion, mock interviews, realistic role-play and clear, personalised feedback.
