My name is Kalee Rose and I have been teaching English to students of various ages, levels and nationalities over the past 10 years in Spain, Portugal and Italy.

I am originally from California, where I graduated with my B.A. in Spanish. I then moved to Galicia, Spain where I taught English in public schools, at a private English Academy, as well as in individual classes over a span of 5 years. During this time, I eventually went on to achieve a CELTA (Cambridge Certificate in English language teaching to Adults) at the International House of Lisbon.

I have been residing in Lisbon over the past 4 years, where I have been working as an English teacher at Oxford School of languages, while also working for a school online located in northern Italy. I work mainly with adults whose English needs are primarily career based, but who also have a desire to gain confidence in general conversation.

With my private English classes, I tailor my lessons to my students needs; whether preparing for a work presentation, strengthening general conversation practice, grammar clarity, or vocabulary expansion. Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:
