About Me

The cello has been accompanying me since I was 5 years old and, with new experiences, I started teaching a few years ago, during my graduate studies. It has always gone very well, great encounters and great work.
I have a lot of fun discovering and getting to know my students: the first contact is very important in order to be able to establish a relationship of trust.

Education

Having carried out the majority of my musical studies in Paris, I obtained the diploma of musical studies (DEM) there as well as the excellence prize for improvement. I hold a license and a master's degree in cello from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.
I am also a graduate of the Center de Formation du Musicien d'Orchestre (CFMO), which allowed me to train with musicians from the most beautiful French orchestras.
I cultivate a great love for chamber music and for the orchestra. I am part of a trio formed during my graduate studies and very regularly have the opportunity to perform in various orchestras.
I have had and met many professors and professional musicians during academies, festivals and master classes in France and abroad.

Experience / Qualifications

I currently teach at the Ozoir-la-Ferrière conservatory and regularly do replacement work, particularly at the Kremlin-Bicêtre conservatory.
I perform in various orchestras and ensembles and I am part of the Duo Nyme (cello - piano).
Throughout my studies, I played in several professional orchestras such as the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre National d'Île-de-France and the Orchestre Pasdeloup.
I am the winner of a chamber music trio competition (violin - cello - piano) in Brussels.
Finally, I extended my musical learning to other instruments and other styles and thus acquired a good knowledge of piano and in the world of baroque music and tango.

Maarten will give you the piano lessons. He can teach classical, and jazz piano. He graduated his studies in the conservatory of Amsterdam with prof. Jan Wijn and graduated with the highest score among piano students (Bachelor of Music, piano). He played several solo and chamber music concerts in concert hall, church, museum, library, hospital and elderly houses. He is regularly invited by Belgium Chamber music festival to play with famous musicians such as guitarist philip Catherine. Recently he graduated master degree in Brussels Conservatorium studying with prof. Boyan Vodenitcharov. Since he has a lot of knowledge of harmonization and counterpoints, he has composed and arranged many works and played many of his own pieces in concerts.

Asako will give the cello lessons. She has master degree, cello performance and chamber music, also has an academic university diploma for Musicology. She studied in Japan, Hungary (Franz Liszt Academy), Norway (Norway Academy of Music), and Netherlands (Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Utrecht Conservatoire).She can teach in Japanese, English and on a basic level in Hungarian and French. Malaysian cellist, in France for 12 years, I graduated from DEM at the Paris Regional Conservatory and from the Performance Diploma at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris, I am currently studying in the concert cycle at the Paris Regional Conservatory. This is why I know the French and Asian working method well and I love the exchanges between Asian music and European music, and it is with pride that I offer you my cello lessons.

Before going even further, I would like to share with you my cello learning journey.

I was born in a small town in the south of Malaysia, where there weren't many music teachers, although I knew I wanted to play cello very early, I only had the chance to 'finally started the cello when I was 15, and then when I came to France I realized that I was a lot behind my classmates...

This is why I wanted to find a very effective way to learn the instrument, I was lucky to have superb teachers who helped me progress and since then I have passed the competition for '' entered the CRR in Paris (being much older than my classmates), I graduated from the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris and even better I did a lot of concerts, I participated in master's class and I even passed competitions to play as an academic / intern in orchestras.

All this to tell you that there is no age to start, all that matters is motivation and a good learning method. I was certainly not the genius child but I knew how to adapt to have real results.

Everything I learned, you can learn too, I have always loved sharing my passion for music and with years of teaching experience, I have helped my students as children, adult beginners or more advanced to have real progress and results...

My teaching plan is firstly, to understand your objective, whatever it is to be able to play a specific piece or just to have fun with the instrument etc... then to establish a work plan which suits you well, and then help you step by step until you reach your goal. And I truly believe that anyone can succeed with a well-established plan.

I try to vary between the Suzuki method and the classical studies of Feuillard etc, I also arrange the pop music or film music according to your desires. For beginners, I try to help you establish a very solid basic technique so that you can progress quickly but with a lot of rigor. For the advanced amateurs, I try to work more in the musicality and to play works in different styles.

I teach in French, English or Mandarin.

I can also gladly give you advice on renting / buying a cello.

I am a young Italian professional cellist with 23 years of study and professional experience. I have been living in Paris for four and a half years. I earned a Bachelor's degree from the Turin Conservatory, then specialized in Baroque music in Paris, completing advanced studies at the Paris Conservatory, a Master's degree from the Versailles Conservatory, and a second Master's degree in Classical and Romantic music from the Saintes Conservatory (Abbaye aux Dames). I work with several renowned European early music ensembles such as Le Concert Spirituel, Accademia Bizantina, Les Ombres, and La Chimera. I was a semi-finalist in the prestigious MA Competition 2021 in Bruges. I am a young professional Brazilian cellist, with 9 years of study and profession, I have lived in Paris for a few months, and have several students from a wide range of ages and skill levels.
I graduated from the University of São Paulo, I specialize in baroque music in Paris and I work with several renowned ensembles of early European music.
