I have been successfully preparing student for classes and exams for over 4 years. I focus of student's needs and tailor teaching method for each individual. I teach mostly university students, though I can also teach younger and older people.

I have finished my Bachelor studies in Mechanical Engineering one year faster than I was supposed to, which gives my excellent background to teach math, physics, python and statistics. Currently I'm studying Artificial Intelligence at KULeuven.

I also have the Certificate of Proficiency in English (C2 level), which proves my deep knowledge about English.

I have been teaching for quite some time and I have come to the conclusion that every student is different and thus should be taught in a different way. Generally I focus of facilitating learning more than on teaching and I adjust my teaching techniques to provide challenging learning experience for all my students. I do my best to foster natural curiosity in students by showing them connections between subject in question and hobbies and interests of a given student.

I am a qualified English teacher from England. I obtained my bachelor's degree in linguistics at Lancaster University (UK) and will soon have my master's degree. I have been teaching English for over 3 years to students who wish to improve their English language skills or become bilingual. All my students are satisfied with my course and those who had entrance exams have passed successfully. There is nothing like having English lessons with a qualified English speaker ;-) I have done all my studies in English and in the United Kingdom, I consider English as being my first language among all the other ones I have learned. Being a "native" speaker for me is meaningless, the qualifications are the most important as well as the experience (you could have a "native" speaker who makes a lot of mistakes because this person is not qualified in teaching).

The price of the lessons is moderate compared to the effectiveness of my courses. I use a variety of methods and can easily adapt to the needs of the student. I offer courses at all levels (beginner, advanced to university level) as well as English courses for IELTS/TOEFL, A-LEVELS or correction of written works.

I have worked with children as well as teenagers and adults. My 3 years of experience as a teacher in England have helped me to develop the qualities necessary to motivate my students and teach them effectively.

I can deliver the lessons online anywhere in the world.

I am an interpreter by training and have decided to provide private language lessons in addition to translation and interpretation. Whoever wants to improve her or his command of English quickly and in a focused way has come to the right place.

At the start of a new series of lessons, I first test the level of the student, so that I know where I am and what the way forward is.
I ask my student what his or her ultimate goal is and try to adjust my lessons accordingly. Does she or he want to have a better command of the grammar rules? Does she or he want to be able to speak more confidently in front of an audience? Does she or he want to communicate with international friends or colleagues?
In general, I organize my language lessons according to three pillars: Language proficiency, which mainly consists of vocabulary and expressions and can be considered as the building blocks; Grammar, which includes the rules of the language and is the mortar or binder of the language; and Culture, which includes knowledge about the countries in which a language is spoken and can be seen as the architectural style.

- As for the lessons.
The lessons are about mathematics of secondary education. More specifically, I will assist in the theoretical processing of mathematics as its application (the exercises).
In addition, I will provide additional study material (aids, schedules, ...) if necessary.

- Way of handling.
I would like to have an overview in advance of the study material, the tests or tasks in which certain problems are visible, .... This way I can prepare the lessons in advance and focus on the problem. In addition, I can estimate / determine his / her level in this way.
I try, in a simple way and for the student in an understandable way, to explain the course in a different way so that this is clear to the student. Afterwards I like to enjoy the results.

- Why am I doing this?
Math is a passion of mine and for me there is nothing more fun than sharing my passion. Unfortunately, my love for mathematics is not part of my studies and that is why I like to do this as a hobby and as an extra income. Of course I work professionally.

- Who am I?
My name is Arina and I'm a law student. I'm 26 years old and live and rent a room in Leuven.

In secondary school itself, I had a less good experience in the first and second year of secondary school in the subject of mathematics.
I found it a very interesting subject, but I just couldn't grasp it. Throughout those years, I had the same teacher, who didn't teach me the material in a way that was right for me.

After receiving tutoring (forced by my parents), my interest in mathematics grew so much that I studied economics and mathematics for the next few years. My love for mathematics just won't go away...
