Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.

English in Secondary I/II is often the time when students must move from basic vocabulary to a true mastery of grammar and expression. It is also the time when some begin to fall behind, due to a lack of regular practice outside of school.

I was introduced to Chinese calligraphy from an early age through my family's long-standing tradition and cultural heritage. This foundation allowed me to develop a deep appreciation for Chinese calligraphy as both an art form and a reflection of Chinese culture, history, and philosophy.

For the past eight years, I have been teaching Chinese calligraphy in Switzerland to students ranging from 4 years old to adults, from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. You're constantly negotiating—at work, with your family, in your relationships. The difference between reaching an agreement and remaining dissatisfied often lies in how things are said, the timing, and the other person's understanding. The goal is to learn to decode your interlocutors (their motivations, resistance, and ways of operating) and adapt your verbal and non-verbal communication to be better understood, without confrontation or power struggles, with finesse and efficiency, until these reflexes become second nature.

The approach integrates the analysis of behaviors, modes of expression, and verbal and non-verbal signals (semiotics, relational dynamics, profiles, and human reactions) to identify expectations, obstacles, and motivations. This allows for precise adjustment of communication and maximizes the impact of each interaction, whether in a professional or personal context.

Rather than generic techniques, it is about understanding the real functioning of the human being and adapting one's discourse to the person in front of: capturing attention, arousing curiosity, reducing resistance and triggering action.

➤ Being a good manager is also being a good communicator.
