About Me

Hi! I'm Kalisto, a UK native currently living in Lausanne. I have been teaching English for nine years and have a teaching qualification (TEFL). I teach children, teenagers and adults, and can help with conversation and exam practice, depending on what you require from classes, which I would be happy to discuss! I have many interests and hobbies, including designing (I have studied fine arts and interior design), reading, films and of course, exploring this beautiful city! English in Secondary I/II is often the time when students must move from basic vocabulary to a true mastery of grammar and expression. It is also the time when some begin to fall behind, due to a lack of regular practice outside of school.
I offer private English lessons for Secondary I students, level A2 to B1. We work on grammar (verb tenses, structures, prepositions), thematic vocabulary, written expression (compositions, emails) and oral expression (conversation, pronunciation, listening comprehension).

I was introduced to Chinese calligraphy from an early age through my family's long-standing tradition and cultural heritage. This foundation allowed me to develop a deep appreciation for Chinese calligraphy as both an art form and a reflection of Chinese culture, history, and philosophy.

For the past eight years, I have been teaching Chinese calligraphy in Switzerland to students ranging from 4 years old to adults, from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
