About Me

Music education began in 2007 at the Fine Arts High School. During high school, education was focused on classical guitar. After high school, in 2011, the individual started pursuing an undergraduate degree in Music Education (classical guitar specialization) at Marmara University. Following the completion of the undergraduate program, in 2018, they continued their studies in the field of Music Education with a focus on Theory/Composition at the same institution. The completion of their master's degree involved conducting theoretical research that explored the relationships between art, music education, philosophy, neurology, and the processes and methods of teaching and learning. The aim was to provide a foundation for structuring educational philosophies and programs by explaining music art education and instruction based on scientific principles (April 2023).

Throughout the educational journey, he participated as a soloist in concerts and masterclasses in the fields of classical guitar and voice training. He also took part in choir performances and competitions both domestically and internationally, winning awards. He engaged in studio recordings and composition activities in the field of music technology, as well as various roles in organizing and implementing these activities within the university.

During this educational process, he also conducted commercial activities as an educator, guitarist, composer, music technologist, and music notation writer, both individually and institutionally. In addition to these commercial activities, he pursued personal development in acting, painting, cinema, sculpture, and dance to enhance his artistic skills, which directly contributed to the structuring of his master's thesis.

Summary:
This research considers music and educational processes as human activities and examines the functional relationships between the bodily (brain regions, etc.) and mental faculties (attention, will, meaning, etc.) that make these processes possible. Using the grounded theory model, one of the qualitative research methods, the study provides a perspective based on the philosophy of phenomenology, aiming to bridge the terminological distinctions between science, art, and philosophy within the fields of art and educational philosophy.

Hi Everyone,

This is Ricco from Istanbul, Turkey.

I am a professional guitar instructor who also is playing in various stages with different bands currently.

I have a solid 10 years of guitar experience in all genres, from pop to rock & blues and so on. Besides playing electric guitar professionally with different bands, I am also giving professional hands-on guitar lessons for the guitar enthusiasts.

There is one major rule for my guitar lessons which is ALL LESSONS ARE IN ENGLISH !!!

This is why most of my students are either childrens of expats working in Istanbul or students studying in colleges and private schools whose official language is English.

If you are interested in learning how to play guitar (either classic, acoustic or electric), please feel free to get in touch with me.

After the first lesson If we both agree that we can move further, we shake hands and plan your progress together.

Lessons can be done either in your own flat or mine, but the price per lesson may vary accordingly. Students may also use my own guitars which can be seen in the photos, my amp and pedals.

My basic principle and method in piano teaching are to show how to work on piano as a self-education. Most students cannot continue their studies after they stop working with a teacher. I explain the efficient ways of working with the instrument. I suggest taking 4-8 hours of lessons per month. Each lesson can be between 1-2 hours. It depends on the level of the student.
During the class, I assign students to have at least 20 minutes of finger exercises, then to work on pieces that were individually programmed with the student. Additionally, I give listening, reading, and video as homework. I allow students to send me any progress or questions via recorded video or video interview so that they can follow their work until the next class.

We will go from easy exercises and simple songs to complex solos and interesting improvisations, you will learn songs by ear. I will help you with your songwriting and prepare you for a concert and studio recording.
