Bachelor of Science in Special Education.

Bachelor of Science in Special Education.

A special education educator plays a vital role in supporting students with disabilities or special needs in the educational setting. Her work spans diverse areas, including academic, emotional, and behavioral support. The responsibilities of a special education educator in each of these areas are described below: 1. Academic support: - Evaluation: The special education educator conducts comprehensive evaluations to determine the specific needs of each student. This includes assessing your cognitive skills, reading, writing, math, and other relevant areas. - Curricular planning and adaptation: Develops individualized education plans (IEP) that adapt to the needs of each student. These plans include curriculum modifications and pedagogical strategies to ensure that students can access academic content effectively. - Direct instruction: Provides personalized instruction to students, adapting content and teaching strategies as necessary. You can work in small groups or one-on-one with students to address areas where they need additional support. - Coordination with other professionals: Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other specialists to ensure that all students' academic needs are addressed. 2. Emotional support: - Individual emotional support: Provides emotional support to students with disabilities, helping them develop skills to manage stress, anxiety, frustration and other emotions. May provide counseling or teach emotional regulation techniques. - Promoting self-esteem and confidence: Works to strengthen students' self-esteem and self-confidence, promoting an environment of acceptance and respect in the classroom. - Communication with parents and caregivers: Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure continuity in emotional support both at school and at home. 3. Behavioral support: - Behavioral Assessment: Conduct behavioral assessments to identify specific challenges in student behavior and possible underlying causes. - Development of intervention plans: Collaborate in the development of behavioral intervention plans, which include strategies and techniques to address behavioral problems and promote positive behaviors. - Teaching social skills: Works on developing social and communication skills to help students interact effectively with peers and adults. - Collaboration with other professionals: Work closely with school psychologists, counselors, and other behavior specialists to design and implement effective behavior support strategies. In summary, a special education educator plays a multifaceted role in supporting students with disabilities or special needs, addressing their academic, emotional, and behavioral needs to help them succeed in the school environment. Their approach is highly individualized, adapting their strategies according to the specific needs of each student.

Guitar & Bass Lessons: Zoom, in-studio, or in the comfort of your home

Guitar & Bass Lessons: Zoom, in-studio, or in the comfort of your home

I'm Alex, a working musician with more than 20 years experience teaching students of all ages. Every student is different, so every lesson is different. When you study with me, you focus on what you want to do, not a one-size-fits-all lesson plan. Take lessons where it's convenient for you. If you're local, you can learn to play your instrument at my home studio in Milwaukie, Oregon. Or, for a relatively small added fee, you can take lessons in your own home within about 15 minutes of zip code 97267--approximately as far north as Southeast Portland, Oregon, and south to about West Linn. If you're further away—really anywhere in the world with an internet connection and a videoconferencing app—you can learn to play via Zoom, Facetime, or whatever other video conferencing app you prefer to use. Lessons are tailored to your needs, tastes and skill level. I teach virtually all styles of guitar and electric bass, beginner to pro. I also teach beginner to intermediate banjo. I've taught guitar—including songwriting, composition, and theory—at the Austin Live Music Academy (ALMA) founded by Jerry Jeff Walker. I've taught adults and children at music schools around Portland, and K-12 students in after-school and summer programs at such prestigious private schools as Catlin-Gabel and the German International School. And I've performed with numerous well-known musicians and bands across the USA including The Motet, Twinkle, Kenny Drew Jr., and Harmonious Wail, to name a few.

English online and in person. Teacher with IELTS certification. Expert teacher. Guaranteed learning. Effective methodology.

English online and in person. Teacher with IELTS certification. Expert teacher. Guaranteed learning. Effective methodology.

My name is Fabiola. I am an English teacher with a Master's degree in Education (University of Concepción), IELTS certified, and have 14 years of experience tutoring and 20 years as a teacher in various educational settings. Currently, I teach English and lead English workshops at the Chilean-British Institute, and I also run English Lessons, my language teaching company. My classes can be online, at my home located in Talcahuano, or at your home, workplace, or library. Classes begin with a diagnostic assessment. Afterward, you will receive a feedback report, which will be discussed in the following class, along with a 100% personalized study program organized into modules based on the results of the initial assessment. In the second session, you will use updated digital and physical materials. We employ an innovative methodology with a communicative and interactive approach, where you will be the protagonist of your learning and help you achieve your goals. Regarding the teaching methodology itself, it focuses entirely on the skill(s) you wish to develop. Each session includes a review of the previous class, a Q&A session, and then the presentation of the class objectives and content through role-playing, presentations, grammar practice, dialogues, interviews, surveys, dialogue creation, debates, video viewing, audio listening, and completing exercises. At the end of each session, the content covered is reviewed, questions are answered, and feedback on your performance is provided. The course includes formal evaluations. Finally, a final exam is carried out with the contents that showed less mastery. The evaluations will focus on the skill or skills that you want to reinforce. On the other hand, tasks are assigned (if you do not have time, they are not assigned) which can be exercises in listening comprehension, reading, creating dialogues or grammatical exercises in both exercises. as in more communicative contexts, creating a presentation, writing texts or others adapted according to your learning objective. At the end of the course and if you meet the minimum attendance requirement, you will receive a certificate that certifies your level of English, but It is optional anyway. Evaluations can be only at the end of each unit or every certain number of units depending on your time availability. Best regards, Fabiola.
