Vlad attended Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University on a scholarship and graduated with a Performer Diploma in Violin Performance. He also holds a Master of Music degree from Glenn Korff School of Music where he studied on full graduate assistantship with prof. David Neely, a former student of esteemed Joseph Gingold. Vlad has over 15 years of experience playing in professional orchestras and chamber groups. His experience includes The Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow State Philharmonic, Lincoln Symphony, Owensboro Symphony, Austin Symphony, Houston Latin Philharmonic, San Luis Potosi Symphony in Mexico, Sioux city symphony, etc. During his studies, Vlad took various masterclasses with reputable soloists and chamber coaches. Vlad has experience teaching in public schools and preparing violin students for regional and state competitions and orchestra auditions where they receive awards and top chairs. He started violin lessons online as an alternative option for in-person lessons. And for those who cannot afford to take lessons due to far distance. His teaching method allows students to grow musically and technically and play with ease and inspiration. Thus, his approach differs on a student and is customized, depending on everyone’s level and preparation. Vlad focuses on posture and technique first, to ensure that the student plays freely and without tension, since its vital to build proper foundations and skills for further growth.

Education

Internationally trained violinist Vlad holds a Master in Music diploma from Glenn Korff School of Music where he was accepted as a Graduate Teaching assistant studying with David Neely, a former student of esteemed Joseph Gingold.

Vlad served as a concertmaster of the UNL Symphony Orchestra in 2015-2017. Vlad also holds a Performer Diploma in violin performance from Indiana University, Jacobs School of Music, where he studied with a brilliant and bright violinist, a member of Grammy awarded Pacifica Quartet, Austin Hartmann.

Experience / Qualifications

Vlad, originally from Ukraine, received his first Masters in Music diploma in Moscow, Russia, studying with Prof. Golovina, a former student of both, Leonid Kogan and Yuri Yankelevich. He worked professionally with many orchestras including The Bolshoi Theatre and Moscow Central Philharmonic Orchestra under Yuri Simonov. In 2010, Vlad was invited to join San Luis Potosi Symphony Orchestra in Mexico, where he played with them for four years as the assistant principal of second violins as well as in a professional string quartet. At the same time, Vlad worked as a violin teacher at the State of San Luis Potosi School of Music and taught privately as well. Throughout his career, he has had great opportunities to work with such amazing, internationally recognized well-known artists as Yuri Simonov, Maxim Vengerov, Anton Miller, Ben Folds, Leila Josefowicz, Midori Goto, Joshua Bell, Gil Shaham, Pinchas Zukerman among others.
