Are you stuck on physics? Do you find the formulas difficult, are you unsure how to approach a problem, or are your grades disappointing? I would be happy to help you truly understand physics.

I am a physics teacher and provide tutoring to high school students. During my sessions, we don't just look at the correct answer, but primarily at how you arrive at that answer independently. We go through difficult topics calmly, practice problems together, and work on a consistent approach that you can use during a test.

What can I help you with?
- Explanation of topics you find difficult
- Practicing exercises together
- Preparing for tests, school exams, and the national exam
- Clearing backlogs
- Learn to work better with formulas, graphs, and calculations
- Gaining more self-confidence in the profession

The lessons are tailored to your level and what you need at that moment.
My ultimate goal is for you to need me less and less. I don't just want to help you do better on your next test, but also teach you how to approach physics, so that you can continue increasingly independently.

Tutoring can be structured, for example once a week, or temporary in preparation for an important test or exam.

Interested?
Feel free to send a message with your grade, level, and what you are struggling with in physics. Then we can see together what I can do for you.

About Me
Hi! I am Maxim, an enthusiastic and patient teacher with a great interest in physics, science, and education. I especially enjoy explaining complex subjects in such a way that they suddenly make sense.

In my lessons, I value a relaxed and personal atmosphere. With me, you don't need to be afraid of saying the wrong thing or asking a question multiple times. Everyone learns differently, so I always try to adapt my explanations to the student. At the same time, I like to work in a goal-oriented way: together, we look at what you want to achieve and what is needed to get there.

In addition to teaching, sports play an important role in my life. I enjoy being active and love running, cycling, swimming, and fitness, among other things. I also bring the discipline and perseverance associated with sports to my teaching style: progress doesn't have to happen all at once, as long as you keep practicing and taking one step further each time.

In addition, I love playing chess and I teach chess to young people. There too, I find it rewarding to see how someone improves through good explanation, practice, and independent thinking.

I find it important that a student feels at ease. My goal is not only to help you get a higher grade, but above all to ensure that you understand the material better, gain more confidence, and ultimately become increasingly independent.
Education
I studied Environmental Sciences at Wageningen University & Research, where I built a broad scientific background in physics, chemistry, and environmental science, among others. Additionally, I completed an educational minor, specializing in teaching.

I am currently continuing my development with the Master's in Science Education and Communication at the University of Groningen, where science and education come together.
Experience / Qualifications
I have experience as a physics teacher in secondary education, where I teach MAVO students and guide them towards tests and exams. Additionally, I give weekly chess lessons to young people. As a result, I have extensive experience in clearly explaining difficult subjects and adapting my explanations to the level and learning style of each student.
