About Me

My name is Marina and I'm a soprano from Catalunya, currently based in Groningen. I graduated cum laude from ESMUC in Barcelona, where I studied with Margarida Natividade (classical music) and Marta Almajano (early music). Later, I specialized in Lied with Francisco Poyato, Josep Surinyac, Assumpta Mateu and Alan Branch.

Choral singing was my starting point in music, and I've sung with ensembles such as the Orfeó Català and Cor de Noies at the Palau de la Música Catalana, Bach Collegium Barcelona or Luthers Bach Ensemble, among others. Together with pianist Miquel Villalba, I created Nit de llum and Unmap del cos, performances that blend music, poetry and visual art. I love exploring how different disciplines can meet through music.

After finishing my Master of Music with Hanneke de Wit, I began working as a junior researcher for Music in Context at Hanze UAS, studying how acting techniques can help performers structure their work and improve communication on stage.

I'm a professional singer teacher from Argentina, with over 12 years of teaching experience. Graduated at the University of Music of Buenos Aires.
I worked giving singing lessons in cultural centers, schools of music and also in my own studio. At the same time during my career I had many musical projects of different styles like rock, pop, jazz, tango and brasilero. I also worked seven years as a singer in a state orchestra of popular music of Buenos Aires where we performed around the country of Argentina and we give music workshops as well.
Knowing your own voice, seeing your potential, setting goals, working and achieving them generates a feeling of freedom and absolute happiness.

Singing is one of the purest ways of expressing oneself. It is one of the oldest forms of music making and nowadays there are many different styles to explore too. I recently graduated from a Master in Classical Singing and teach people of all levels to become better singers. I have 5 years of teaching experience and have given lessons to all different levels. I truly believe that anyone can sing, if they learn how to! Singing is also known to have a great effect on well-being and health, with its focus on breathing and body. In general I teach classical singing but also have experience teaching musical theatre too. We will explore different types of repertoire from various genres, work on musicianship, musicality and expression and try to improve posture and body awareness to in order to enhance your technique.

Hello everyone, if you like music and you're thinking about taking cello lessons, I will be more than happy to share my knowledge and expirience with you!

I like to teach my students the technique and musical abilities necessary to understand and enjoy music.
My aim during the cello lessons it's always to make sure that the student is having a nice time and enjoying music while they learn!

I have been in Groningen for three weeks and I'm starting to learn dutch. I can understand a bit, since I speak German fluently, but the lessons are mostly in English at the moment. I hope in a near future will be dutch as well ;)

I have a great experience in teaching students from different ages. I can teach beginner students and introduce them to music and cello. I have received training on young children music training. I also can teach more advanced students and older people, as I have also experience in this field. I have done a lot of private cello lessons during my studies, I worked as a substitute teacher in music schools from Spain, and I have been working for one year as a music teacher in Austria.

For the lessons it is important to have the instrument, but we can search for it together, once we start with the lessons. It doesn't have to be a super professional one for starting learning:)

I can also help with music solfège and harmony basics, so that we can make sure that every student it's able to read and understand music.

I'm active musician always learning from my master studies and performance expirience. I like also to be involved in further education in the field of teaching.
