I don't mind encountering difficulties on your learning path as a musician because it has allowed me to discover, research and learn many different ways of playing the violin.
What came of it? I am a passionate, versatile classical musician who has found a special connection with her instrument.
Together with the student I like to look for their perfect posture, I try to make the learning process enjoyable and strive for new levels of playing.
No matter how seriously we take it sometimes, we should not forget why we started music: because it feels good.

About Me
I started playing violin when I was 8 years old back in Riga, Latvia. Thanks to wonderful teachers like Vija Studente, Anete Zvaigzne and Andris Baumanis, I was able to fall in love with music and start using violin to be a part of that world.
In 2014 I have moved to Amsterdam for a preparatory year at the Concervatorium van Amsterdam, then in 2015 - I met a perfect teacher to guide me and started my bachelor degree at the Conservatory of Ghent with Olga Zolotareva.
To me, it has always been crucial to have a good relationship with my violin teachers as it shapes the way we play so much and sometimes even who we are. In my opinion, every student deserves a unique, personal approach. Everyone has their own reason for playing music. Each and every one of us, no matter if we are professional musicians, students or just making music in our spare time as a hobby - things we find motivating and our reasons are all unique and none of them are “right” or “wrong”.
I love music and violin helps me have a distinct voice within it. Playing music can be an outlet for feelings, emotions or ideas that otherwise would be hard to express. I love every aspect of it and will do my best to make it possible for others to find something special for themselves within the discipline.
If you are not familiar with music theory - that is not a problem at all, I can provide basic knowledge along with your progress on the instrument - I also learned the theory from my violin teacher even though I had separate theory lessons at school - it was a lot more clear with the instrument in hand and very simple approach from my teacher.
Are you an advanced player, maybe even thinking of coming to study at a conservatory? I would be more than happy to provide a different perspective on your playing, give advice or redirect you to the next step if you need it. I know first hand how scary, frustrating and hard it can be, but at the same time rewarding and magical.
