I am a student in the last year of a Bachelor in life science at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne and I am offering to help understand the fascinating world of science!

The scientific branches and particularly mathematics and physics can represent a challenge during the school learning of the pupil. Often, classical teaching methods may not be suitable for some students who, therefore, risk developing deficiencies in these branches, accompanied by demotivation and fears regarding these subjects. For me, this is regrettable and from my experience, I am convinced that an approach centered on the student and his specific needs allows to improve this perception and to increase the self-confidence of my students.

In my courses, I propose to help pupils and students who do not feel comfortable or wish to improve themselves with these themes through three points of approach:
- The explanation of the subject by restating the theory and by concentrating on the comprehension thanks to explanations, numerous examples as well as a simplification of the concepts difficult to comprehend.
- Exercise assistance, which teaches methods of resolution that can allow students to feel more comfortable in front of statements and to increase their speed in dealing with specific cases. There is rarely only one method to understand and solve the exercises, if some are more effective than others, for me, it is especially important to find the one that will best suit the student's affinities.
