If you're new to guitar or you just need to improve your playing, I would be delighted to help you develop your skills through learning songs and working on techniques. I'll always be adapting my teaching to suit you and the goals you would like to achieve.
Most of all, I would help with building confidence as a guitar/bass player so that you can comfortably play with others!

I have a relaxed teaching approach that isn't too formal and academic, I'm simply a passionate, experienced musician who loves to share knowledge!

My name is Axel. I am originally from Sydney, Australia. I live and work in France, Switzerland and Ireland as a musician/music teacher.
I've been playing guitar for over 15 years and have been active in the music industry since 2010. I also play bass, piano, drums and help artists write and record music in my studio.

Having recently obtained my masters degree in Music from the University of the Highlands and Islands in Scotland, I have been teaching piano, music theory and electroacoustic music for 8 years.

As a former student of the Conservatoire de Musique of Geneva and a music technology undergrad, I offer a tailored program to your needs and wishes. Be it classical jazz or pop music or music theory, composition and improvisation (or all of these!), I will gladly instruct you in a friendly and playful way.

Graduated with a master's degree in Music and Environment at the University of the Highlands and Islands in Scotland, I offer piano, music theory and electroacoustic music lessons for all ages.

Both classical piano training with years of study at the Geneva Conservatory and electroacoustic training with a bachelor's degree in music technology, I provide a program adapted to the needs and desires of each student. EVERY CHILD CAN! Learning to play the guitar according to the Suzuki method is more than just music! We learn by the approach of the "Mother Tongue", playing and having fun. Children - from the age of 3 - develop, among other things, listening, memory, musical sense, concentration, discipline, respect. Collective workshops stimulate learning, and children learn to play together.

As a violinist: I am currently a student at the Geneva University of Music, after having followed the pre-professional course at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève. During my career, I won several prizes such as the Vatelot Rampal competition in Paris and the Jeunesses Musicales of Switzerland soloist, and string quartet (alongside Julie Berthollet in particular). I also attended the Indianapolis University Academy summer internship.

As a Pedagogue: in addition to sporadically giving individual lessons for 4 years, I was part of the "Jeunesses Musicales of Switzerland" youth and youth internship team for three consecutive years.

Overall, my goal is to allow my students to have fun making music, to express themselves as they wish and hear, with their instrument!
I adapt the rhythm of my teaching, my teaching materials, the choice of songs to each, according to the requests that are made to me. My classes can also take the status of personal work support; in this case, students can obviously bring me their scores worked with their main teacher, or those they play in chamber music / orchestra.

In short: The violin is an art, it learns yes, but we play! :)

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:

-Study of various playing techniques, chords, harmony, music of your choice, rhythm, with reading of tablature, teaching structured around the repertoire you like, technique of developing the musical ear
- Discovery of the neck, notes and basic positions of open chords

Patient, pedagogical, and attentive to the student's needs, my lessons are structured to help them progress quickly. My motivation for teaching stems from a desire to share my passion for music with everyone.

In my courses, practice and theory have an equal place: technical exercises, clarifications in solfège, chamber music and simple pieces then more complex depending on the student's level and desires.

Indeed, you are free to choose what you want to work on, suggest pieces as well as delve deeper into a particular point, a specific technique for the more experienced.

Having started playing this instrument at the age of six, my deep attraction to music developed gradually through dance, chamber music and the orchestra in particular.
