Master's student in physics at EPFL and literary at heart, I obtained the baccalaureate with honors (19.8/20 general average) and willingly help in learning the French language, its literature, its philosophy and its culture if interested. I propose to give French support courses for all levels, occasionally or regularly :)
I have previously given lessons to children. Having several young nephews and nieces and having regularly carried out baby sittings, I am used to supervising children.
I can also help with English classes (after having lived for several months in Cambridge, England), mathematics, science or provide general academic support for homework help for children.
Currently doing my master's thesis in Japan, I give lessons via webcam.
Do not hesitate to contact me if you are interested.
Hope to meet you,
Iolene

I am a PhD student at EPFL, and I have been teaching mathematics and physics/chemistry for several years now. I was accepted to MIT, the best school in the world, and I was also accepted to Oxford and Cambridge.

Often students learn, but do not know the correct techniques to apply to exercises; I will show the student how to properly understand and solve the exercises.

I offer academic support and homework help in science subjects (mathematics, physics, chemistry, etc.). I obtained my scientific Baccalaureate with highest honors in 2024 and I am in my second year of engineering at EPFL.

Before each lesson, I like to glance at the chapter or exercises to refresh my memory on certain theorems or formulas if necessary. This allows me to arrive prepared and explain the concepts clearly and in a structured way.

During the lesson, I guide your child step by step, taking the time to re-explain concepts, review the basics if necessary, and help them gain confidence. My goal is not just to solve the exercises, but above all to ensure they truly understand what they are doing and gradually become more independent.

English is slowly but surely becoming an indispensable language to know. Many opportunities rely on an understanding and ability to speak English.

I speak English fluently and have experience in tutoring. I've studied higher-level English for many years and am passionate about English Language and English Literature. I can provide tutoring for younger children to build fluency and promote a bilingual childhood. I am also well-versed in the i/GCSE English curriculum. Of course, my services are available to anyone who would like to learn or improve their English, child or adult.

Looking forward to connecting!

Mathematics and physics form the basis of many scientific fields of study, but they can sometimes seem abstract or difficult to grasp on your own. In my courses, I guide students to help them understand the concepts in depth, progress at their own pace, and gain confidence.

Students can send me the topic of the lesson or their specific questions in advance, so that I can prepare a suitable and effective session.

I am also bilingual in Italian. Although it is not my native language, I particularly enjoy teaching it and helping beginners acquire a solid foundation. My Italian lessons are conversation-based, with supplementary grammar and conjugation exercises to ensure natural and enjoyable progress.

I mainly teach remotely, which allows for great flexibility and personalized support, wherever you are.

Hi, I’m Calia!

I am a Gymnase student in the Math and Physics track, and a native English speaker who is also fluent in French. Having grown up in both English- and French-speaking environments, I understand the challenges children can face when learning a new language.

My approach to tutoring is based on natural language acquisition through play, conversation, stories, games, and activities that make learning enjoyable and engaging. I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable, curious, and confident rather than pressured or worried about making mistakes.

I work with primary and lower secondary school students who would like support with spoken English, vocabulary development, reading, schoolwork, pronunciation, or simply gaining confidence using English in everyday situations.

Lessons are adapted to each child’s age, interests, and learning style. Whether your child loves books, crafts, science, games, or creative activities, I aim to make English something they look forward to using.

Languages:
• English (native speaker)
• French (fluent)

I look forward to helping your child develop confidence and enjoyment in English!

Mathematics, physics, English, and French can seem difficult without the right foundation or method. With extensive experience working with students of all ages, from young children to high school and university students, I have designed my lessons as a personalized support system, adapted to each student's level and pace.
You will solidify your foundational knowledge, fill in any gaps, better understand challenging concepts, and gain confidence and independence when tackling exercises and exams. My goal is to make each subject accessible by adapting to each student's learning style.

Hello! My name is Allegra and I currently live in Lausanne. I am Italian and I offer language exchanges in Italian, but also in English, which I speak fluently after living in the United States.
The idea behind a language exchange is first and foremost to practice a language naturally, through conversation and everyday interactions. It's not necessarily a traditional lesson, but rather a pleasant opportunity to speak, ask questions, correct mistakes, and gain confidence in speaking. I can adapt to each person's level and needs, whether it's to improve conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, or simply to have the chance to practice regularly.
I already have experience in this area, particularly with children living abroad in Italian or American families. I have worked with children who wanted to maintain contact with their parents' language and practice it in a natural and fun way. Therefore, I also offer conversation sessions for children, tailored to their age and level.
I am a responsible, reliable, and patient person, and I enjoy creating a relaxed atmosphere where learning can take place without pressure. I am primarily available in the late afternoon and on weekends.
Looking forward to getting to know you and chatting with you!

Learn the basics of French and English, or deepen your knowledge of these languages. The course aims to prepare you for quizzes and exams, and to help you learn to speak the language fluently and correctly.
The course will be interactive with games or more advanced exercises depending on the student's progress.
