As a student who completed my master's degree in physics with a grade of 5.52/6 and obtained my baccalaureate with honors (19.8/20 overall average), I am happy to help with learning mathematics and science in general, which made me want to study at EPFL and come to KTH, Stockholm, and then do my thesis in Tokyo. I offer to give tutoring in mathematics or physics for any level (up to the start of secondary school) occasionally or regularly.
I have previously given lessons to children. Having several young nephews and nieces and having regularly carried out baby sittings, I am used to supervising children.
I can also help with English classes (after having lived for several months in Cambridge, England), French, philosophy or provide comprehensive school support for homework help for children.

Do not hesitate to contact me if you are interested.
Hope to meet you,
Iolene

About Me
Good morning! Student in the 3rd year of Bachelor Physics at EPFL, having completed my exchange at KTH - Stockholm, I am always motivated, smiling and ready to help students in difficulty. I like reading, writing, cooking, drawing, hiking, and of course studying in view of my background. I had a difficult first semester, very busy with work and not really guided in learning. I had to be creative in my learning process to find new ways of working. I would now like to contribute to alleviating it for others by teaching, helping and advising :) In high school, my favorite subjects were French, philosophy, history and maths of course. I remain a writer at heart while continuing to push my knowledge in physics. At the top of the class, I was helping my classmates to overcome difficulties and I will be happy to resume today.

/!\ Online courses or in person at EPFL/UNIL, no travel to the student's home.

After obtaining my French baccalaureate (specializing in Mathematics and Physics-Chemistry), I continued my studies at EPFL. Currently in my third year of a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, I would be delighted to share the knowledge and methods I have acquired throughout my studies, adapting as much as possible to your learning style and making the lessons as interactive and accessible as possible! I can tutor students up to the final year of high school (gymnasium) in physics and chemistry, and potentially in French up to the entrance of high school. General Chemistry (first year) courses for EPFL or UNIL are also available.

As a student at the University of Lausanne, I have been giving tutoring and homework help to students from primary school to the end of secondary I for a year now. I have thus been able to develop adaptability skills to the specific needs of each student. My goal is to be able to provide support for organizing homework, to demonstrate some working methods and to explain the material in case of misunderstanding. I can explain concepts in all school subjects up to the end of secondary I, i.e. in French, German, English, math, science, history and geography (except in Italian and Spanish).
I can also possibly give support lessons for students in the first and second year of general culture.

I offer tutoring in math (algebra, analysis, statistics), physics (mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, fluid mechanics), chemistry, materials mechanics or programming (C, python, MATLAB).

I have extensive experience in tutoring, an activity I have been practicing for about 7 years with different students.

I have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from EPFL and am currently pursuing a master's degree there. I can adapt to the student's level.

I offer academic support and homework help in science subjects (mathematics, physics, chemistry, etc.). I obtained my scientific Baccalaureate with highest honors in 2024 and I am in my second year of engineering at EPFL.

Before each lesson, I like to glance at the chapter or exercises to refresh my memory on certain theorems or formulas if necessary. This allows me to arrive prepared and explain the concepts clearly and in a structured way.

During the lesson, I guide your child step by step, taking the time to re-explain concepts, review the basics if necessary, and help them gain confidence. My goal is not just to solve the exercises, but above all to ensure they truly understand what they are doing and gradually become more independent.

English is slowly but surely becoming an indispensable language to know. Many opportunities rely on an understanding and ability to speak English.

I speak English fluently and have experience in tutoring. I've studied higher-level English for many years and am passionate about English Language and English Literature. I can provide tutoring for younger children to build fluency and promote a bilingual childhood. I am also well-versed in the i/GCSE English curriculum. Of course, my services are available to anyone who would like to learn or improve their English, child or adult.

Looking forward to connecting!

Mathematics and physics form the basis of many scientific fields of study, but they can sometimes seem abstract or difficult to grasp on your own. In my courses, I guide students to help them understand the concepts in depth, progress at their own pace, and gain confidence.

Students can send me the topic of the lesson or their specific questions in advance, so that I can prepare a suitable and effective session.

I am also bilingual in Italian. Although it is not my native language, I particularly enjoy teaching it and helping beginners acquire a solid foundation. My Italian lessons are conversation-based, with supplementary grammar and conjugation exercises to ensure natural and enjoyable progress.

I mainly teach remotely, which allows for great flexibility and personalized support, wherever you are.

As a final year Bachelor of Engineering student at EPFL, I offer private lessons or support, or homework help adapted to the level and needs of each student.

I teach mathematics, physics, chemistry, French, and English, primarily at the beginner to intermediate level, from elementary school to high school. Lessons can focus on understanding concepts, preparing for assessments, solving exercises, or simply regaining confidence in the subject.

I also offer support in Analysis I for higher education students, particularly to review theoretical concepts, understand methods and practice exercises.

My goal is to make concepts more accessible by adapting to each student's pace and prioritizing real understanding over rote learning.

I have a strong academic foundation in mathematics up to and including Calculus I and II. I also have solid knowledge in physics and chemistry at school level across all grades. With my specialization in chemistry, I have a particularly strong understanding of this subject. As I am currently a student myself, I am very familiar with the learning process and the challenges students face, which helps me explain concepts clearly and in a structured way.

As a Master's student in Data Science at EPFL, a graduate of CentraleSupélec (ranked in the top 3% of my class) and holder of a Bachelor's degree in microtechnology from EPFL, I offer tutoring in mathematics, physics and computer science, from primary school to university level.
My teaching experience
I was a student teaching assistant at EPFL for 8 courses, working with over 400 students. I currently lead the linear algebra and ICC (Information, Computation, Communication) exercise sessions. Each week, I adapt my explanations to each student's level: that's what I love most about teaching.
What I propose
• Primary and secondary school: consolidate the basics (calculation, fractions, geometry, equations), regain confidence and improve methodology.
• Gymnasium / high school (maturity, baccalaureate): functions, analysis, probabilities, vectors, mechanics, electricity, exam preparation.
• University / EPF / preparatory classes: analysis, linear algebra, probability and statistics, numerical analysis, programming (Python, C/C++).
My method
I begin by identifying the real obstacle: a misunderstanding of the concept, a lack of methodology, or stress. Then, I build the sessions based on the student's lessons and exercises. The goal isn't just to pass the next test, but to understand the material and become independent.
Whether you need occasional homework help, regular support, or intensive exam preparation, I adapt to your needs.
