As a native English speaker sometimes I am asked: well why is there three different words for (their there and they’re but they all sound the same?) A question I would love to answer with you in one of our tutoring sessions. I can work with younger children to establish basics, right the way through to adults wishing to perfect their speaking skills. In addition, I have a plethora of English texts to work with for students wishing to focus on English Literature. I have an A-level and GCSE qualification in English.

I will tailor lessons to your needs/ability and age. I provide speaking, listening and writing activities.

For children, I will work with a shared document, where I will keep a record of your child’s progress, the actives we did and their homework. Parents are welcome to be present.

For adults I will provide a shared document of your homework and progress.

I am happy to offer online or in person sessions for children/adults.

I can also offer help with university applications in the United Kingdom and English examination preparation and application.

We can also discuss intensive lessons (every-day for 5 days) includes speaking, listening and writing.

A qualified language coach with 25 years of experience offers intensive Dutch lessons in a small class or online.

I give many Dutch NT2 lessons to expats and in preparation for an integration exam.
Specialized in guiding for the State Exam I and II. Special exam coach.

In January 2025 I will also start with groups again. We have a great classroom in the center of Rotterdam, near metro station Beurs, lessons with small homogeneous groups (little difference in level).

We mainly go for quality and not just running a lesson. I am really involved in the progress of the student. In addition to teaching, I want to do everything to really motivate students to take the next step. That is my strength!

You can also choose the online lesson package with Whereby, Teams or Zoom in a comfortable way. Online classes are one-on-one or maximum one-on-two, for better results.

My English is fluent, as well as Portuguese and Spanish. I understand the difficulties of overcoming barriers for Latin languages and for expats in general, as I have also been an expat.

Online lessons last 75 minutes once a week for 10 weeks to reach a higher level.

This is the normal speed. Including exam training (A-2 or Staatsexamen) and exam at the end.

Intensive training ? That can also be done in five to ten full days, I am used to giving these very intensive trainings to CEOs or managers who want it faster and more intensive ... all lessons within 3 or 4 weeks. Based on the European system A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2 and C-1

As soon as students want to further improve their knowledge of Dutch, I always advise and coach them to take the State Exam I or II, the only formal Certificate in this country, recognized by employers and universities.

I will try to switch to conversation after a few lessons, to put your knowledge into practice as soon as possible. Don't get too caught up in the grammar.

Teaching is my ultimate passion and even after 25 years it feels like the first time and students always feel inspired to overcome the obstacles.

I also teach you about Dutch social culture, which is intertwined in the course and is strongly related to the language.

I am a certified English teacher who has recently moved to Rotterdam from the United States. English is my native language. Whether you are a true beginner, intermediate, or an advanced English speaker who is simply looking for someone to practice with, I am here to help.

My name is Mohamed from Syria, and I hold a degree in Business Administration. My journey with the English language began with a deep passion for learning it.
