Learning to play the guitar by yourself can be overwhelming. In my classes students go through all the necessary steps to master the fundamental guitar techniques while learning well known songs and classical pieces. Lessons are private and are adjusted to each students individual needs.

Hello! I'm Nina, a drummer from Amsterdam.
I am currently studying pop/rock drums at the Herman Brood Academy in Utrecht.
I play in 2 bands. I also play in many different session projects (from pop to rock). I work a lot with hybrid drums (triggers and SPD) and also teach them with Ableton.

The studio is located in the Q-Factory in Amsterdam with two professional drum kits and sound system.
In addition, I can occasionally offer a lesson in Utrecht!
If all this is too far or for some other reason not reachable, lessons at home and / or online are also possible!

We can work on, among other things:
- Hand technique (how do I hold my sticks? Or which stick technique do I use for different music styles?)
Creativity (how can I ultimately make cool parts on the drums myself? Or different parts than what you initially came up with?)
- Improvisation (lots of playing and trying!)
- Timing (playing along with songs, with click tracks, how can I become more playful with the click?)
- Relaxed posture
- Drum notation (learning to read drum notes)
- New fills, grooves and beats
- Sound (how do I tune my drums? which drum sound do I want for different types of music?)
- Hybrid drums (working with samples on the SPD and/or triggers) in combination with Ableton

The drumset is one of the most important and powerful instruments in a music ensemble. It does not only provide the rhythm and groove foundation for all the other instruments - it also defines the sound of the band, the character of the songs, the volume... just like an orchestra conductor.

In these lessons (which are of course personalized and open depending on the interests of the student) we will work beyond the physical/mechanical aspect of the drums (technique, coordination, etc) into the musical aspect, so we will spend some time listening and analyzing music together, working on ear training and music theory from a practical point of view.

Julia studied Jazz at the Conservatory of Amsterdam for 2 years. She is currently a graduate of the Pop Department of the Conservatory of Amsterdam. She is a teacher at Your Musiq School in Almere and has several years of experience as a vocal coach. In her career as an artist she has released several EPs under the duo 'Micah & Julia' and traveled to Nashville to work with Grammy Winning Songwriter, Femke Weidema and then joined her label, LV Music. In her younger years she studied violin at the Young Talent class of Amsterdam. She is broadly oriented in classical, jazz and pop.

My name is Shak. I am 21 years old and currently studying at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. I've been playing different instruments for as long as I can remember and I've mainly started to focus on bass guitar. Clarinet is a beautiful, lyrical instrument suitable for almost all genres of music. During this class we will learn about scales, technique, pieces of your liking, play duets, and practice music theory. I also focus a lot on body relaxation and air flow.

In this class, we will be exploring music by learning your favorite songs from any genre you enjoy. I will personalize the lessons to your needs and make sure we cover all the fundamentals that will set you on the right track!

I will teach you how to:
- learn songs by ear, (pop, jazz r&b, funk, fusion, hip-hop, and whatever you like honestly)
- improvise,
- compose,
