Bring Out Your Musicality: Conservatorium van Amsterdam Master's Pianist, 5+ Years Teaching All Ages and LevelsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Bring Out Your Musicality: Conservatorium van Amsterdam Master's Pianist, 5+ Years Teaching All Ages and LevelsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Every student's musical journey is different, and your lessons should be too. With more than 5 years of experience teaching piano to students of all levels (from complete beginners to advancing conservatory-track students and retired adults rediscovering music) lessons are built around your goals, pace and interests. Whether you're picking up the piano for the first time, preparing for conservatory entrance exams, or returning to the instrument after years away, each student finds a plan tailored to where they are and where they want to go. The first lesson is about getting to know each other: understanding your current level, your goals, and what excites you musically, so a clear and realistic plan can be built from day one. From there, practice is kept structured and achievable; with concrete, doable goals between lessons, as well as different tools and materials provided along the way. Lessons can take place at my home or, if preferred, at your own address. As a teacher, I try to stay flexible to what my students want to explore: I find pupils are often passionate about all kinds of genres, and while my own training is classical, I'm just as happy helping a student work on jazz standards and improvisation if that's what excites them, alongside more traditional repertoire. PERCUSSION!! Your easiest way to learn music!!!!!Translate this text using Google Translate.

An instrument that combines musicality and strong groove? An instrument that is easy from the first move? Percussion is the spark that makes you behoove! I am Keith, a Hong Kong percussionist based in Amsterdam and currently finishing my master degree in the Conservatory van Amsterdam. I have won several major international competitions and have great experience in performing. I have also taught privately and conducted masterclasses to inspire the next generation of percussionists. The best thing of being a percussionist is that you can play and find music anytime anywhere! Whether if it's a timpani or your comb, you can produce so many different sounds and exciting rhythm. With one technique, you can almost play anything! If you are a total beginner with music, percussion is one of the easiest way into it. Instruments sound nice already when you play them. Lessons start from knowing the pulse and developing your groove, to knowing the notes and establishing basic musicality. Then slowly you will explore the vast sound world of percussion, starting with drums, mallets instrument or any objects that you can think of! If you are looking for more help in excelling in your craft, my professional experience can offer you great guidance and advice, no matter if it's technically or artistically, or even stage presence and healthy mindset. My ultimate goal in teaching is to motivate my students to find joy and confidence through music. I will offer you a clear structure so that you will understand better how to reach your goal, and a supportive learning environment so that you can explore your potential! Here are some Q&A to know more about myself! Q: What other instruments except drumset can I learn from percussion? A: With similar technique, you can play mallets instruments like marimba which has a warm healing sound, or orchestral instruments like triangle or tambourine. And with the rhythmic sense from learning drum set, you can literally play groove in the world, no matter if it is latin or asian or middle east! The sky is the limit! Q: What do you value the most in your lesson? A: Sincerity and curiosity. I hope we can have honest communication and I can offer you new inspiration every lessons. Q: How do you keep your lessons engaging and fun? A: It all starts with your own interest and passion. If you have a specific genre or instrument that you like, we will build your musical sense from there, even if it's death metal or jazz. I will offer you different kinds of exercises and ideas until you own the skill. Q: What inspires you to become a musician? A: I just love to perform!

Cello lessons in Dutch, Spanish or English (live or online)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Cello lessons in Dutch, Spanish or English (live or online)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Do you want to work on classical repertoire? Do you want to learn songs from around the world or invent your own? do you want to play happy birthday to your best friend with a Cello? Let's explore together this beautiful instrument with pieces that you like, finding different ways to play one thing, becoming actors on the stage of music... Let's create games to develop creativity and technique, those that will help you to personalise your way of playing. With music, we learn much more than just playing pieces. I always thought about how the ancient Greeks introduced Music as an essential subject in school. Music was to heal, to entertain, to get to know yourself more. I'm just finished my studies in the University of Arts of Codarts (Rotterdam) and I can't deny I will always keep learning after finishing my degree. I'm looking forward to sharing some knowledge and to hear what you already know. What can i offer? Styles that we can work on: Classical, Folk, Jazz, Pop music. Languages that we can speak in the lesson: Dutch, English, Catalan or/and Spanish Skills that we can work on: basic techniques, jazz and folk techniques, play the cello while singing, percussion on the cello. How do I work? Each class will be individually prepared, in order to have the student goals in mind. In our first lesson we can get to know each other and then we will figure out what do you want and how can I help you. For BEGINNERS I teach the bow, finger positions and other basics with easy songs (with kids I add games to make it more entreating). Such as relating painting with playing, dancing with playing or literature with playing. For AVERAGE LEVEL we explore, with already some technique, how to play songs, finding a good sound and feel at ease with the instrument. Extra activities: Once a month I plan a rehearsal with pianist to work on some repertoire of cello and piano. Meetings with other students are also arranged to play duos together. It's very necessary to play with people and not get stuck in our own individual studies! Do you have doubts or need more information? Don't hesitate to write me a message!

Drum lessons for beginners and intermediate in AmsterdamTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Drum lessons for beginners and intermediate in AmsterdamTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Hello! I'm Nina, a drummer from Amsterdam. I am currently studying Drums at the Amsterdam Conservatory (Pop Department). I play in multiple bands and various session projects, including 45ACIDBABIES and Anna Joan + more. I work a lot with Hybrid Drums (SPD and triggers) and also teach Ableton. I love many different music styles, so you've come to the right place for any genre! The studio is located in the Q-Factory in Amsterdam with two professional drum kits and sound system. If all this is too far or for some other reason not reachable, lessons at home and / or online are also possible! We can work on, among other things: - Hand technique (how do I hold my sticks? Or which stick technique do I use for different music styles?) - Creativity (how can I eventually make cool drum parts myself? Or parts other than the ones you would initially come up with?) - Improvisation (lots of playing and trying!) - Timing, playing along with songs (with click tracks), how can I become more playful with the click? - Relaxed posture - Drum notation (learning to read drum notes) - New fills, grooves and beats - Sound (how do I tune my drums? which drum sound do I want for different types of music?) - Hybrid drums (working with samples on the SPD and/or triggers) in combination with Ableton. And of course we will play along to your favorite songs a lot! I especially hope that I can create lessons together with you that match what you like and what you would like to learn. All levels and ages are welcome!

Saxophone lessons for all levels and abilities in AmsterdamTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Saxophone lessons for all levels and abilities in AmsterdamTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Myself: I have 23 years of experience playing the saxophone and around 15 years of teaching experience, working with both children and adults, beginners, and more experienced players. I believe that, in addition to teaching, it is essential to remain an active and performing musician to ensure that the approach remains fresh and relevant, which I am. I specialise in jazz improvisation, but these skills are transferable to any style you may wish to learn. The primary goal is to become proficient on the saxophone with a strong and beautiful sound, while also mastering the fundamentals. Furthermore, learning music is a joyous and enriching experience, and I am here to help facilitate that. I am also a graduate of the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam as well as Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (London). The Lessons: Whether you're a total beginner, looking to refresh your skills, or aiming to progress further, I'm here to help you at every step of your saxophone journey. With experience teaching students of all ages and abilities, my main goal is to ensure that every lesson is enjoyable and tailored to your specific goals and motivations. Specialising in improvisation, I also offer instruction in harmony, music theory, and composition. Overall, my goal is to help you produce a beautiful and personal sound on the saxophone. I take pride in adapting my teaching approach to suit your learning style, ensuring that all information is manageable and understandable at your own pace. I am fully committed to ensuring that the space is welcoming and friendly, as well as being approachable for any thoughts or feelings you may have about the lessons and your progress. Lessons are held at my home in Amsterdam Oost and can be scheduled for 45 minutes, 1 hour, or 1.5 hours. Ideally, we meet weekly or fortnightly to maintain momentum, but I'm also available for occasional top-up lessons.

“ As a cello amateur , i am striving to constantly learn to play better! when i arrived in Rotterdam a few months ago, i needed guidance to continue practicing . Flavia is the perfect person for this. She is an accomplished musician and artist. She can speak about composition, context of a piece, expression etc.., and at the same time, go also into elaborated technical cello advice. Very motivating partnership with her ! ”

“ I have been playing trumpet for about 5 years, growing every time. I wanted a new trumpet teacher to help my trumpet technique and skill of improvisation. From the first lesson I really liked Oleg. He has a natural way of teaching, is very knowledgeable, and respectful to your level. He is really a good teacher, and worth signing up with. Recommend 100%. I am still happily going to Oleg, every week! ”

“ Nina was a great teacher and clearly passionate about teaching and playing the drums. Impressive skills when showing me around the kit and great patience when teaching me my first beat. The class was great and she made me feel comfortable even as a complete beginner. ”
